I am sure this is Normal... When I go to the PAYMENT PORTAL, and punch in case # and IID# It shows AOS Fee NOT INVOICED. and just below that under IV Application Process fees - nothing listed...... yet this takes a few days now right?? how come I see some people able to PAY the same day?

Checklist question: I received my checklist in the mail today and the address on the coversheet is attn: DM instead of CMR. I sent my package attn: CMR because I used the address where I sent things before. Could this cause a delay? It was received by NVC today via USPS.

Yes it could. It goes to a different part of the building for checklists to be reviewed. It likely goes into a different box so that it's looked at sooner. But it is what it is.

That's why we don't send checklists without actually getting the checklists.

AOS bill and IV bill are not invoiced at the same time unless you have a lawyer.

IV invoice depends on when DS-261 is added to case file.

Case # date and AOS invoice date are rarely the same day... normally it takes 1 day to a week to be able to do anything.

Called NVC this afternoon and got no update...then just now got a Checklist email and my heart was pounding as I opened the checklist and scrolled through the pages...............and PHEW it's a fake one for the AOS, so I'm assuming that means IV has been accepted. It's in my signature below, but anyways, for those who want to know DS260 was submitted on the 27th and IV docs were offically in the system April 1st (arrived the 28th).

We received your Immigrant Visa Application; however, we have not received an Affidavit of Support

form. You must submit an Affidavit of Support form before we can complete your case.

Please go to our website immigrantvisas.state.gov for instructions on how to obtain, complete, and

submit an Affidavit of Support form.

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

address provided."

Same thing happened to me. Our NOA2 stated that I was in USA and needed to file form i-824, I was in Canada and I knew that it was 100% wrong. My husband (petitioner) called USCIS and the first customer service rep had no clue, just kept saying to file the form. So he asked to talk to a supervisor and after waiting on hold for 3 hours the supervisor finally told him that our file had already been sent to the NVC.

So I would ask for a supervisor right away when calling.

Thanks for the advice, its given me a little hope, however.....

My husband called USCIS, asked to speak to a Tier 2 and they said they didn't have time to discus the case and hung up on him.

I called the NCV and they told me to contact USCIS.

In the meantime (to avoid any unnecessary delay) we filed the I-824 today and wrote a check for the $405. Fingers crossed the I-130 was sent to the NVC and the I-824 is subsequently closed down, but if not at least it's in the system.

Hello everyone,

Can someone help me please. I just got my NOA2 for the I-129f. In the notice it said they forwarded it to the consulate, is that right? I thought they forward it to NVC?

Just want to say a big thank you to everyone on VJ who helped me and my husband in any way through this long and sometimes very stressful process. Thanks !! I hope my revision doesn't slow me down. Since they didn't even log in my first package.. the second should be close behind.

I don't know what is going on at the lawyers office but there were several mistakes....

1. my husbands name was incorrect

2. my husbands address was incorrect

3. the lawyer used the wrong income amount

4. the lawyer never signed the AOS package

What did I pay for? I have done everything so far. And this is why I paid the fees myself. I am sure I'd still be waiting if I left it up to him. I am so disgusted

Waiting sucks but the NVC is not even close to the endless wait t the USCIS... I kills me to see people crying about having to wait when they only filed at the USCIS a month ago...
