this is some BS, really!!!!

Wait for NVC to receive the case

Wait for NVC to assign a case #

Wait for DS261 to be available

Wait for AoS fees to be available

........

Come on man! why couldn't they do this at once! why assign a case # if we have to wait another week before we can use it!

This is really killing me!!!!!!!!!!

you're only 10 minutes from me... I bet we passed each other at the mall and never even knew it !!! HAHAHAHAHHA

LMAO

I may not be a "professional" writer, but I have written 10 or so fictional novels ;) Perhaps the two of us should start working together for this book

It just feels like there are so few VJ members up here! Plenty in PA/NY, tons down in TX, but New Englanders seem few and far between. At least in our little visa "generation" ^_^

 I'm a professional writer/editor, I could be of great use on an advertising campaign!

And I can help you guys lay it out and illustrate it! LOL!

Hi new to this group. Our I130 was approved on April 10th 2014. Does anyone here now how quickly it moves on from here. We have an attorney in the USA helping us but he charges everytime we ask a question. Here is where we are at:

Welcome fellow UK filer! You say your I-130 was approved the 10th but then list the 10th as the date your case number was received, I'm assuming that's a typo but let me know if not. Usually it takes a month from NVC receiving a case to issuing a case number. You should take a look at the spreadsheet linked in Saylin's signature (above) to get an idea of how quickly the process moves along.

Current average for getting from the day you receive your case number to getting case complete is just a tad under two months, but will be quicker if you have no checklists :)

According to some other members DS-261 will be available about a week after case number is assigned. but since you have an attorney appointed as your agent already you won't need to do that form. You should be able to pay your AOS fee and IV fee at the same time. Maybe it will be available this week since you don't need to do DS-261. Read the first post of this thread and Saylin's wiki to get more information. Also you should update your timeline :) and you can put all of your information above in a signature. My joint-sponsor files MFJ with her husband and the tax return transcripts have his information on there too. Is that going to be a problem at NVC?
