Just got off the phone with NVC, IIN is available but Han (very nice operator, not sure if I heard his name correctly though) told me AOS is not ready for payment yet and it will tell me that the case is for termination but is not true at all. I told him that I wouldn't take the number yet because I will not be able to control myself and check CEAC, that made him laugh. He told me to give it another 2-3 days and call again mid of next week.

Got my case # and IIN yesterday and since then, I must've logged in to ceac.state.gov more than 100 times hoping to be able to fill out DS261 and pay AOS fee, but so far NOTHING!

I can't wait and I know I'll be checking all weekend long! I already know nothing is gonna change till Monday or Tuesday but I'll keep on checking anyway!!!!!!!

Saylin, I have a question for you

The PCC for Morocco shows an expiration date, it is only valid for 3 months.

The PCC I have right now expires April 29. is that going to be a problem with NVC? should I get a new one or is it ok to send the one I have right now?

Salylin, I hate to bother you as this seems so trivial, but is there any chance you could check my file on DHL tracking for my case going from NVC to london embassy on 9th/10th April . Have tried to do it myself but it just won't let me put the dates in, I think I need to register with DHL to be able to do this. I ask as you did it for me when my 129 was transferred to London. Have checked CEAC and it's still saying ' IN Transit ' . Thought they would have got it this morning as it took 2 days for the 129. I just wanted to know before the weekend. Hope the new job is going well and they're treating you well. Thanks in advance.

Anyway, maybe I am overthing this, but I have a question about AOS :/

Question: on AOS my income is met for a family of 4 (me, spouse, son, and mom or dad--two who are immigration )

I am sponsoring both of my parents, differnt cases, differnt files.....but they will go for their interview togeather

Now, will the CO look at my income for 5 ppl or 4?

I'll admit, I much prefer immigration over customs as I know a lot more about that Oh well, until USCIS or NVC hires me I'm definitely liking Fargo though as it's much bigger (almost 5x) than my last little town in South Dakota. All I need now is friends (still really haven't made any since moving to the US).

And I wish you hadn't asked that question I'm unsure if you have to count both immigrants on each form or not. With the instructions, it doesn't seem like you do (as they're on separate petitions), but it doesn't make sense since your household will be 5, not 4. Have you tried asking NVC this?

If NVC receives it before the 29th, it should be fine. But you'll definitely need a new one for the interview.

The answer to all questions is "it depends" <big grin>. Regarding medical: in some countries, you must have specific instructions from your embassy/consulate to take with you to the medical exam. Same with Police Reports. In some countries, you can go ahead and schedule the exam/police report as soon as you have your Case number. It depends on YOUR country as to how long the medical and the Police report last. I suggest you search for a forum specific to your country for the answers.

NSW and QLD are the abbreviations for the Australian states New South Wales and Queensland. WA stands for Western Australia.

It is so frustrating that they requested for my Spanish police clearance even I already included it in my IV package (with English translation and Apostille of the Hague). I told them to review again but I think it's better just to send them a new one instead of wasting 30 days and then later on they will tell me they can't find it and I have to send another one. So I sent it today thru DHL express. Expected arrival on Tuesday! I saw some case completed this week, congrats to y'all guys!

Looking for opinions.. Apparently my lawyer is mad because I asked them to hurry and submit our packages... Below is the email I received at 11am today. He is blaming me now... I am on hold with NVC to ask if his missing sugnature will cause delays. I signed the AOS appication. There is a spot for his signature on that but I don't know what else he would sign except the cover sheet. My husband is PISSED.

The lawyer is responding to my email this morning asking if the papers were sent yesterday...

It did. However, I feel like you put so much pressure on Dayane that she mailed it out, and she neglected to get my signature on a document. So your wanting to get it out so fast actually worked against you.

I know you read all the websites and you’re on the phone all the time with the NVC. So let me make a proposal. There are two ways to work this:
1) You let us take care of it, realizing that, just like at a Doctor’s office, there are other patients and understand there’ll be a wait for services that’s not too long but probably longer than you’d like. But it will get done at a pace we are comfortable with and can give it our best. Or:
2) You take care of all the consular processing yourself, and we just focus on the waiver. This way, you handle all the consular processing applications and paperwork and you’ve got it in your control, and can move it as fast as you like. That is workable. And the waiver part, which requires a legal argument and a framework, will be handled by us, since we have the most experience and a good track record.

Let me know what is best for you and you feel most comfortable with. And if you have questions, please ask.
