I am in the exactly same situation I remember writing my permanent address to be in Pakistan but they still gave me a case number which starts from RID which means Saudi Arabian Embassy and I am not even ad citizen over there I was just there for a visit! Well i called them we have paid both the fee and have submitted AOS that's all fine just dont submit the civil documents as yet because one rep told me that u shud wait before submitting civil documentscor else if the case gets completed before the email gets replied to we might have a longer delay. Keep me ipdated on your situation also plz!

Hey, I requested a case number change also and got it few days ago. If you have everything ready and you think you will get case complete before the number change than maybe waiting is best. Although for me, I have had my case number changed and not case complete yet and it is fine. I just have to send in my IV package and hopefully all goes well.

Does Mark really have to provide his Proof of US Citizenship too?

He is not really sponsoring anything, I just included him because they are MFJ and she would have to show his income separate from hers.

You can also just have Tracy file the I-864 if she meets the income threshold alone.

IF you do this don't forget...Total Income remains the same.

Tracy will provide her W-2s to demonstrate her portion of the total income.

I emailed them on 31st March still havent gotten a reply what about you?

When I sent an e-mail it took almost a month to get a reply.

Also, if we move after receving my green card, I (as the lpr) have to notify USCIS of my change of address, right? And the USC will only have to update the new address with the DMV and SSA?

After green card if the beneficiary moves you need to update USCIS with an AR-11 form within 10 days of relocation

Any sponsors (petitioner and any joint sponsors) must update the USCIS with form I-865 within 30 days of relocation.

What's with the "sign the I-864 in Blue Ink" bit? The form states that you must type or fill it out in BLACK ink. I signed mine in black ink, so I hope this doesn't slow anything down.

Ok Maybe I'm just being impatient. But I need to ask anyone who has come across the same thing..

So I got an email for the IV bill invoice. I went online and tried to pay but I wasn't able to because the info and check box for the IV bill didn't show up. Below is the screen shot. Is it because they are still working on making it available for me while the email was automatically sent beforehand? I went with a different browser as well as a different computer but it was still the same thing. What is going on?

They send the emails but often it's not available for another 3-5 days.

ONLY use IE on government sites. Make sure all pop up blockers etc are turned off.

some people like to sign in blue so that the USCIS or NVC knows it's an original signature and not a high quality scan. Personally I think signing in black is the way you're supposed to do it.

Was able to talk to a gentleman from NVC after being on hold for about 15 minutes. AOS has been approved. The civil documents (IV package) has been received (touched). However, they have not reviewed it yet. He said I am done submitting everything. Just sit tight and give them 20 ~ 30 days to review the IV package... No really... :) I am calling them tomorrow...

I called yesterday. They told me the same thing...however, mine is reverse IV approved & 260 approved, AOS checklist under review I am planning to call again on Friday. I am kind of loosing hope for case complete on Friday...why do they keep on saying 30 days for heaven's sake its one paper...

Because you go to the back of the line after you are checklisted and it needs review. They review it really fast once it's in front of them, but getting it there is another story.

Remember everyone, hundreds of thousands of cases pass through the NVC every year.

today my lawyer was able to complete the ds260 on line, i reviewed it and realize my middle was omitted. I want to know if this wont affect my visa approval in anyway, yuor inputs will be appreciated

That was my mistake, I was informed that it should be black ink. Sorry for the misinformation/confusion.

Funny you should say this, LoveMyTico...my attorney told me I should be working at her office! I had to correct her on the Total Income vs. Adjusted Gross Income today. She was shocked and horrified at her mistake, but incredibly gracious when she told me I was correct. I told her that VisaJourney had been MY teacher. I believe our AOS and IV packets are being sent today, and the DS-260 will be complete as soon as she hits "enter". Wow. What a journey!

OK, here is my nightly rant

I called my lawyer because they didn't answer my emails and I wanted to know if my packages went out. When I called they tried to screen the call and said he was busy... then he said hold on.... Lawyer gets on the phone. I try and be nice he cuts me off and says your files are on paralegals desk. I am not reviewing them today. They will be reviewed tomorrow and fedex'd. You will get a tracking number . So I had a question about the income she used. She used adjusted not total. My total income includes 4 months of unemployment . The adjusted is over the poverty level but I wanted to point that out when he reviews it. He said if the amount is more than the poverty level for a fami ly of 4, they won't kick it back.... He was so short with me like I was bothering him. I swear to God if I get a checklist for that error I will flip out. I could have sent this stuff yesterday when the fees showed PAID.

Have just checked CEAC and my 130 file is in transit to the embassy in London!! It will take 2 days for it to arrive. Hubby has submitted the 260. Didn't have to pay the IV fee, yet. So you could say filing the 129 has helped my case to be expedited!!

technically it was their mistake so you should get an expedite !!! I am sure they will collect the money at the embassy. Don't worry.. they won't forget about that !! well worth the hassle for the expedite !! CONGRATS !!

about to call hubby to complete this DS260. I have been so stressed over having to babysit my lawyer. Can someone tell me exactly what $3300. buys these days????

Hey folks, my wife got an AOS checklist today

Please let me know if I need to respond as it looks like whatever they've asked from the principal applicant is either already provided or is not applicable.

It says that when I (principal applicant) responds to the NVC I should use the bar coded sheet which came with the letter they sent my wife (petitioner) today but I have already sent my IV package with the bar coded sheet i got when I paid the amount to the NVC. I guess this may be a false entry in the checklist.

It says that they have received my DS-260 but are awaiting my civil documents and that they will process my DS-260 as soon as they receive the civil documents. Not sure why they are still waiting for my IV package when they themselves say that it has been entered into the system on the 2nd of April. (This also may be a false entry)

They also say that I haven't supplied complete financial information but since I am not the one submitting the AOS, they can't expect me to do this, it has to be done by the petitioner. (May also be a false entry)

Do I need to respond to the checklist?

Also under the petitioner's checklist they mentioned that, the income indicated under part 19 (form I-864EZ) does not correspond to that shown on the most recent tax return total income. Can someone tell me how does the NVC define 'TOTAL INCOME'?

I got a false check list today-- at least our case was touched may be they review our AOS this week.
