I just called USCIS and spoke to a Tier II officer who told me my case got shipped back to USCIS from NVC. They didn't say anything was missing. Any ideas anyone? Did anyone encounter this problem ? Thanks ! Please HELP !!!

Have you called NVC to ask why?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

 

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

 

September 26th 2016: I-751 package sent to CSC

September 28th 2016: Package delivered
September 30th 2016: Check cashed
October 3rd 2016: NOA1 received with receipt date of 09/28/16
November 3rd 2016: Biometrics received with appointment date of 11/14/16.
November 14th 2016: Attended biometrics appointment
October 30th 2017: Infopass appointment to get I-551 stamp
February 26th 2018: I-751 case number (aka the NOA1 receipt number) becomes trackable
March 14th 2018: Submitted service request due to being outside of processing time.

March 15th 2018: ROC approved. 535 days (1 year, 5 months and 17 days)

March 29th 2018: Card being produced

April 4th 2018: Card mailed out

April 6th 2018: Card in hand. Has incorrect "resident since" date. Submitted service request on I-751 case (typographical error on permanent resident card) and an I-90 online.

April 2018 - August 7th 2018: Tons of service requests, emails and now senator involvement to get my corrected green card back because what the heck, USCIS. Also some time in May I sent a letter to Potomac telling them I want to withdraw my I-90 since CSC were handling it.

August 8th 2018: Card in production thanks to the direct involvement of Senator Sherrod Brown's team

August 13th 2018: Card mailed

August 15th 2018: Card in hand with correct date. :joy:

October 31st 2018: Potomac sends out a notice stating they have closed out my I-90 per my request. Yay for no duplicate card drama.

uh oh this is happening a lot now it seems. That is 2-3 cases that I have heard of in the past 1-2 weeks. I hope you get resolution fast.

I-130 for both parents

March 28th 2013 - Priority date/ NOA 1
November 14th 2013 - Transferred to Nebraska Service Center

January 7th 2014 - Case changed online to approved for both

January 8th 2014 - case changed to shipped to NVC

January 9th 2014 - case changed to NOA 2 mailed

January 10th 2014 - Received the hardcopy of the NOA 2 stating that NVC would issue a case number in 30 days approx.

January 21st 2014 - Case Received at NVC

February 26th 2014 - Case numbers and IIN number received - Wrong embassy code assigned...now waiting for new case numbers.

March 3rd 2014 - Filled in DS-261 for both parents

March 5th 2014- AOS available, paid and submitted AOS packet.

March 6th 2014 - USPS shows packet was delivered at NVC

March 10th 2014 - AOS shows as paid in the CEAC portal/AOS logged into system as being received by NVC.

March 11th 2014 - New case number assigned for my Dad.

March 20th 2014 - Paid IV fee for my Mum.

March 25th 2014 - AOS accepted by NVC with no checklist.

March 26th 2014 - Filled in and submitted DS-260 for my Mum

March 31st 2014 - AOS found in my Mum's file for my Dad - accepted and placed into his file/IV fee available for my Dad and Paid.

April 1st - Mailed all civil documents to NVC for both parents.

April 3rd: IV fee shows as paid in portal/submitted DS-260 for my Dad.

April 22nd: checklist issued for civil documents - NVC error ...

April 23rd: sent another certified copy of my marriage certificate

April 24th: Case complete! :)

April 30th 2014 - Medical scheduled for parents at Knightsbridge in London

June 11th: Interview at London Embassy - Approved :)

It's happened with me also.

I got approved on Feb 21st and NVC received my case on 11th March.

NVC sent my case back on 19th March.

I still didn't find my case yet.

here is some things that might cause to happened this situation.

1) Uscis didn't sumbit our all documents to NVC. So NVC sent back to case USCIS.

2) After approval USCIS feel that they need more proof or documents for our case. And approval was mistaken.

3) Computer mistake.

4) 129f and 130f ( my 129f was closed at USCIS instead of NVC)

5) they might sent our case to our country consult office.

6) for Nothing :(

And don't wait for their answer.

Please involved your senator and also make a infopass appointment.

make a service request to USCiS and NVC both.

many chances to delayed our cases from 1 month to 2 months.

The Tier II officer I spoke to told me that my case was never approved. So, why was it sent to NVC in first place? Maybe they sent it there by mistake? My case was sent back to TSC...

I really don't know how to involve my senator. I am currently abroad. Can you help me?

Your timeline shows you were approved on 3/10. So you only got an online update but not a hard copy?

I filled my timeline as on 10th of March I got an E-mail stating I got approved. However 2 hours later I got another mail stating I was back in initial review. I called USCIS, a Tier II officer told me I got approved and my petition was sent to NVC. I called Uscis again after two weeks and was told my petition was sent from NVC back to USCIS and was NEVER APPROVED.

I don't know what to believe and what I should do. Just wait...or what?

Is your home state California?

Try that. Find your rep and contact their office, explaining your problem. I can't promise anything concrete, because they often come back with the same answer you will get from USCIS, but it's worth a shot.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

I would print out a copy of the emails that you got (also check on their website) and you should have written down the agent/time/date that you confirmed that your case had been approved and sent to the NVC. If you get your congressperson/senator involved, I strongly suggest supplying them with this information. Aside from that, I would contact the following:

Ombudsman's office

Texas Service Center

Service Center HQ (possibly also the director of the service centers. I know that Lovemytico has that guy's name and email address.)

And/or call and talk to a tier 2 supervisor.


Oh, and put in a service request online based on USCIS error.
