Hi everyone,

I am a new member to this site and have a few inquiries regarding the I-130 process and everything that happens afterwards. I want to gather all necessary docs so once we are sent to NVC, I can submit those documents ASAP and hopefully obtain an interview date rather quickly.

Here's some basic info for you. I am the petitioner (USC) and my husband is the beneficiary (Mexican Citizen).

Timeline:

Early 2012 - Met at church and began dating 2 months later.

August 2012 - Married in Tijuana, Mexico

February 19, 2014 -- Submitted I-130 petition via FedEx overnight. Received by USCIS on February 20, 2014

February 28, 2014 -- Received the NOA1

March 18, 2014 -- Submitted I-129F via FedEx overnight. Received by USCIS on March 19, 2014

I have not received an email/text/NOA1 yet.

My husband resides in Tijuana, Mexico and is currently attending Medical School. I am a US Citizen residing in San Diego, CA. I work in San Diego, I am currently a graduate student in a University in San Diego, my bank accounts, credit cards, phone, etc are all in San Diego as well. I travel quite frequently to see him in Tijuana (almost daily). I meet the 125% income guideline. Here are my questions; any help/advice is truly appreciated!

(1) Domicile -- Will me crossing to see him cause any issues with establishing domicile if my entire life is in the USA except my husband?

(2) Consulate -- I've researched and it seems that Ciudad Juarez is the only consulate where IR1 is processed. Does anyone know if they are also processed in Mexico City?

(3) Consulate -- Is this consulate truly as dangerous as I have heard? I worry for his safety.

(4) Medical Exam -- Is there a way for him to have the medical exam done in Tijuana after he receives the interview notice BUT before the interview at the consulate?

(5) Medical Exam -- how long is the medical exam valid for?

(6) Bonafides -- Besides the basics (marriage certificate/pictures/wedding invitation) what else can I send in? I am also using my taxes as proof since I requested an ITIN number for him and have done the taxes for 2012 and 2013 as married/jointly with his name and ITIN number on them.

I have another question.

(7) If admitted to US, my husband will need to cross into Mexico for medical school and back to USA everyday. Is there a problem with him doing this? We will be living in the USA but his school is out there in Tijuana.

Thank you!!
