Hello!

On the London US Embassy website (http://london.usembassy.gov/document_checklist.html#police_certificate_uk) it says that police certificates are required. Right below that, it also says court records are required. But, then it also says "Does not apply to applicants convicted in the United Kingdom).

I just want some clarification...

If the British citizen only has convictions in the UK and are bringing a police certificate, do they still need the court records?

If the Embassy doesn't want it, they don't want it. The Police Certificate will list any convictions and if you have any you need to get a Subject Access Request (SAR) from ACPO. Details on this are on their site, the same one you find info on the Police Certificate.

You need the SAR if your police certificate says anything other than "no trace".

If you have convictions, you'll also need court records.

And just because I thought of it after I walked away, if you have anything on the report that is considered a CMIT, you should get the court record. Even if you weren't convicted.
