Those Tier1 really don't know anything! Misinformation at its best! :-|

My bio is current and I got my new case # from tier 2 on the phone a couple days ago, so I am pretty sure you could get it!

My new case # is not same as my case # in my NOA1. the tier 1 person said, after my old bio was uploaded, my case # got changed.

We cannot truck our case with the case # in NOA1 online. Hope this helps :)

I will call them :cry2:

Never ends until getting the actual GC.

Yes, nene815. I remember you posting that a few days ago, which is why I knew what she was saying was bogus. I scheduled the call back to my husband from Tier 2, so he should be on the phone with them right now. Fingers crossed....

Okay, so I just called USCIS and spoke to Tier 1. The lady started off really nice and when I told her I was calling to obtain my case number to track my case online being that my husband's biometrics info is current....she tried to tell me that I would not be able to track my case online and that the receipt number on the biometrics appointment letter would be the same as the NOA1. REALLY!!!??? I told her that I read it on the NOA1 notice that the receipt number on the biometrics appointment letter would be the one to use for tracking purposes. She said she never heard that before....OMG!! I was ready to go through the phone, but I politely asked her to please transfer me to Tier 2. She did oblige and I am patiently waiting for a call back from Tier 2......

I just had to rant....sorry about that (he-he). Let's just hope Tier 2 does not try to give us the run around. I am so glad that I am on this forum. Knowledge is POWER!! I will keep you posted....

Nae

I am so frustrated!!!!! Tier 2 just told my husband that he did not need his case number and that he just needed to wait. He said as long as he has his extension letter then he is good until the GC comes. He told him to just call back in July or August. Really!!!?? I just can't stand them!!!! They know you need them and they just toy around with your emotions......okay, I am done with them for today. I will try again next week.....

Guys, I got this update from uscis website:

On June 17, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

It is hard to believe... does that mean I'm approved?

Oh my god! My hands are still shaking when i'm typing this. I can't believe my eyes!

I hope that's not a glitch in their system because I only submitted my application in April and it's a divorce waiver, I had very limited evidence. Also, I prepared the package myself while my native language is not English.

Can't believe in this miracle!

Congrats both.

Wow congrats to you! Yes thats an approval. Now I'm gonna be watching even closer. Last night I had this weird dream where USCIS officials were outside our door when I got home from work wanting to make sure we actually lived together.

:shocked::shocked: wow sorry you went through that.

Yours must be there soon! :D

Yeah I know! It seems like they give more works to them by themselves

Thanks! How about you? Are you going to call them back and get your new case #?

The tier 2 lady who I talked to was pretty nice :)

Hey not finding much of time! :( wll call Friday. I hope they dont give the same answer again.

They gave me the same answer and told me that people who have their bio CURRENT dont have case#. LOL joke. Edited by Nevin

I just talked to them. Tier 1 person could not verify my address so I talked to tier 2 person. She said a lot of people actually get the message even though they have never changed their address. She told me just ignore the message. I asked her to verify my address and she did it. They have my correct address so I do not have to worry about anything. So now I hope I can just wait for my GC comes :clock:

I am sorry to hear that :(

I just used my new case # to verify my information today and it worked, so your husband could definitely get his one.

When I called a couple days ago, I asked the tier 2 person like "Could I get my new case # please? I heard that the ROC applicants usually get a new case # with a bio letter, but I do not get the letter. I would like to truck my case status online."

She said "sure".

She gave me my new case # right away.

I really hope your husband will get one next time he calls. Good Luck :D

A question, have we figured out if out if its just those that adjusted status in the USA that are getting the biometrics current and no biometrics appointment? Has anyone with a CR-1 from outside the USA doing their ROC, gotten their bio letter since mid April?

My daughter met the same thing, she is k2,yesterday we called the uscis office and talked with tire2,he told us that my daughter;s biometrics were current and she won't do her fingerprint. After we asked him that daughter didn't need take another photo for ten years green,he answered "yes".All the information the uscis office will use is dayghter's two years greencard's.But we think we will not trust it till we really get our ten years green.

My case time here:
K1 and k2 joint petition

04/09/2014 mailed to Vermont Service Center
04/14/2014 K1 got the NOA1,K2 didn't get it.

05/06/2014 K1 got the Biometrics,K2 didn't get it. 06/02/2014 K1 took it.But K2 couldn't do this beause of no appointment.

05/12/2014.sumbit the inquiry about K2's on uscis website.05/14,they mailed a letter to me and gave me a copy of the THE ONE-YEAR EXTENSION of K2.And told me K2's biometric information is current.

My husband thought "current" is meaning "waiting".So we were waiting till last week, but still nothing came.Last week ,we called the uscis, they told us we need wait till 06/14 beause our last inquiry was on 05/14.

We called the uscis again on 06/16.the tier 1 helped us sumbitted the question, and the uscis sent me an email on 06/17 and told me that daughter's and my biometric information are current. So I told my husband maybe "current" means "daughter doesn't need to do the biometric",but he didn't argee with me.So we called the uscis yesterday, this time my husband was very seriously to ask the tier 1 about her name and work number, the tier 1 helpd us to transfer to tier 2.The tier 2 told us "current "means "don't need".

Are you using the case number from your bio letter? It should be there, but sometimes a case will never get into the system they use for that. It appears to be a separate database the online case status is generated from.

Yes I am using the one from the bio letter. When I called they said they use two seperate databases. It just stinks that I cant track it online and I have to call the awesome folks at USCIS for updates.........

Particularly when it takes so darn long to get ahold of anyone, and the odds of getting someone who won't even look it up for you is high.

You're not the only one I've heard of that cannot look up their case.
