that's sorta neat, actually.

almost neeto-keen, spiffy-ish.

There are all sorts of electronic filters they could turn on, I wish they would have done it sooner rather than now.

The Enrollment process should have been done along with the DS 261. Just an option the user could have selected. would definitely save a whole lot in this flow !!

as for the documents, I don't understand why they wouldn't modify their web app for the users to immediately upload the files, instead of emailing them, hoping the email server wouldn't reject them, then waiting in queue for someone to look at them.

tons of improvements can be done, while reducing cost to NVC.

heck, I'll do the changes for them.

The state's department website has changed its content with respect to electronic processing.

The ENROLL section is no longer there.

they "recommend" the attachment size per email should be less than 5 mbs!!

Group A: Email processing

Scan and email your forms and documents to nvcelectronic@state.gov. When you send us an email, please follow these guidelines.

  1. Type the case number in the subject line of your email.
  2. If you have more than one case, use a different email message for each of them.
    • For example, if you have two cases: ABC1234567890 and XYZ0987654321, do not send them in one email with the subject “ABC1234567890 & XYZ0987654321”. Instead, send us two email messages. One of them should say “ABC1234567890” in the subject line, while the other should say “XYZ987654321”.
  3. Scan your forms and documents and save them as PDF files. After you create the files, attach them to your email message.
  4. If you have many forms and documents to send us, you might need to send more than one email for that case. As a rule of thumb, try not to send more than five megabytes (MB) of attachments with each email.

I confirm, I spoke to 2 different NVC agents . This is a change in their procedure, there is no need to wait for the email confirmation or electronic enrollment. Not telling you how much I worked to convince our lawyer to go ahead and submit the packages!

I sent my ENROLL email on April 18 and just received my confirmation today, May 21. They are starting to take longer than 30 days for acceptance :protest:

that is 23 business days...

Never count weekends with the NVC.

Pretty cool you don't have to Enroll anymore. :D

I sent in enroll email too...but the next day they changed the website, enrollment was gone.. and I saw this "If you send an email to nvcelectronic@state.gov that does not include scanned forms or documents, we will not respond to it."

I called in and the operator says no more enrollment request email.

But has anyone received a confirmation once submitted document through Email? I have no clue if they rec'd my docs or not. IV invoice fee has not yet been invoiced. It's been 10 days since I paid AOS fees.

They stopped sending the auto confirm as well, which is rather annoying. Until they either send an email saying they've added onto the case file or an operator can confirm they have, you really don't know at this point.

Also IV fee is not based on AOS fees.

We wasted about a month assuming our documents was received by NVC thru email only to find out that the consulate we' re assigned to doesn't have electronic processing. (Riyadh US embassy) If we didn't call NVC we could have been still waiting for nothing. Now we have to send our IV & AOS package and wait for a month again. :( So my advice is if you're confused or not sure what to do call NVC. It's difficult to get thru but be patient. I was on hold for 34 minutes last night before I was able to speak with a representative.

No offense, but this information is clear on NVC's website (http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/submit/how-to-submit-documents-to-the-nvc.html) on who's eligible for EP.
