I have another question. What happens after the interview is approved? I heard there is also a seminar that my fiancé need to attend?

After the interview? Just more waiting until the visa package is delivered by 2GO

The seminar referred to is CFO, this is a Philippines requirement. Info in my link

Yes. It's the CFO seminar. All exiting Filipinos with an immigrant visa (including K1s) are required to attend the seminar and have the CFO sticker affixed in the passport. http://www.philembassy.no/sites/default/files/downloads/new_gcp_flyer.pdf

Can the CFO seminar be taken before the interview?

Yes, but you will need to have an interview scheduled and you will need to return to the CFO when you have the passport to have the CFO sticker attached to the passport. Regardless where you had your interview you can get your sticker at one of three locations; Cebu CFO, Manila CFO or NAIA airport (a little more difficult).

Remember when you got your NOA2 and some who filed 3 weeks after you got theirs before you and some who filed 3 weeks before you did not get theirs yet? There seems to be a roll of the dice factor here. Some get in 2 days, and some wait 3 weeks and everywhere in between. Happy dice rolling!

Seriously, just be patient. The fact that you did not get yours in 2 days or 5 days or 10 days does not mean there is a problem. Just a bad dice rolll. It will come.

My fiancé already has a passport and interview is scheduled for June 2.

He will go to his medical 2 weeks before the interview date.

I just want to check if he can go ahead and do the CFO seminar now since interview is still in June 2.

Yes he can complete CFO now.

What Greenbaum was referring to was "passport WITH VISA". If your fiance is fine by going to CFO twice, he can certainly have the CFO seminar before the embassy interview. But he will only receive the "CFO certificate". That means he has to return to CFO again once he received his passport with visa to affix the "CFO sticker", before his flight out. This sticker is what the immigration officer at NAIA checks aside from passport & visa validity.

Edit: You can call CFO too if you want your sticker affixed at NAIA. But call has to be made days ahead before the flight.

One day. But get there early because they only have 30 slots, and if you are #31, you will not get in that day.

3 AM is not at all unreasonable.

I have been checking everyday if there are any spots for the interview date that is earlier than June 2 but it doesn't even show any dates available.

I was told that I should cancel my scheduled date to see the open spots?

I don't really want to cancel and risk losing that date and get a later date instead.

What do you guys think? I guess I should just keep the June 2 date.

You should be able to see the "earliest available date" on the left panel of the home page. If there's none (normally for the next 2 months), they don't show anything at all. So, the only advice really is to just keep checking... and checking ... and keeping the patience-o'meter calibrated. This part is the hardest indeed.

During my time, I just randomly checked online when I woke up at 3am PH time, I grabbed it like a hawk! Imagine how many people are looking forward to it. I just laughed at myself with all those crazy things I did just to keep everything in a row.

Ohh, and yes! Do keep the June 2 date, for now. Until you see an earlier date, of course. :)
