Hi, I am reading the documents required for financial support for K1 visa and it asks for bank statements, I have a bank account and a investment account, for privacy reason, I prefer not to provide the investment account statment, can I only provide the bank account statement?

And the thing is it is required to provide the tax return document and it will show the investment income on the tax document, so obviously i have some investment, but is it ok that i only provide my bank account statement? will it cause a problem?

thanks a lot!!

K

also, when I complete the I-134 form, can I not disclose my stock's market value, just put the money I have in the bank account? (which should be enough for supporting my Fiance)

thanks,

K

UK allows self sponsorship, then you do not have to show anything.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

From what I understand, you don't have to disclose anything you aren't using as evidence that you can support your fiance. If you have a high enough income and/or enough assets in your bank account, then there is no need to disclose the investment account. However, this might not be true if you are using the investment income as evidence... I'm in a similar situation so I'd love to know the answer to this, too!

This might help you out http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864p.pdf If you're income is above the 125% stated for the household size then you won't have to show any proof of assets/stocks/savings.

I wouldn't worry about the privacy so much, I can understand not liking putting all of your financial in an envelope and mailing it and I appreciate that this stuff is private to start with. But really whose going to see it other than your fiance and the staff at the embassy,
