Hi list,

I have received letter from NVC notifying that the petition will be forwarded to visa issueing post within a week.

K1 applied on Dec 8th 2006

NOA1 received Dec 13th

NOA2 received on Dec 27th

letter from NVC on Jan 5th 2007

I have the following questions:

I am emailing forms to my fiance to practice (DS-156K and DS-230), these are the correct forms? and also I noticed in DS-156K that a "Police certificate" has to be submitted. What does this mean?.

Thanks in advance

The fiance/e doesn't need DS 230 because this is application for Immigrant VISA. DS 156 Non-Immigrand Visa and DS 156K Fiance Non-Immigrant Visa Application are the correct forms

Have your fiancee apply for their police certificate at their local police station and a additional police clearance at the office that issued their passport. Apply for those now, as it takes up to 30 days to get them back. The police certificates are for packet 4 at the interview.

You will need to download packet 3 from the embassy website. Checkoff the checklist and sign it. Fill out form DS-156, make photocopies of your fiancees paasport pages, including all biographical information, and 2 passport size photos. This is all that is required for packet 3.
