We send our I-129F to the address on the 4th of march

USCIS
Attn: I-129F
2501 South State Highway 121 Business
Suite 400
Lewisville, TX 75067

http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f-addresses

It has been received on the 7th of march. However we haven't received a notificiation or they haven't cashed the check yet. Did we do something wrong? Or is it sending it to that address a longer route as they have to ship it to Dallas and from Dallas to a different processing location?

My fiancee is slowly panicking and I'm trying to keep her calm.

Sorry...but Netherlands???? LOL.... You have absolutely nothing to worry about. In fact, you should be more preoccupied trying to obtain Dutch citizenship than your fiance's status.

But I still don't understand why it's taking this long for them to send a notification or anything. It has been signed for when they received it in Texas.

Is it normal it takes this long?

Cashing the check merely confirms it has been approved. As many people on here have noted...it can take up to 60 days for them to cash it.

FYI- Prepare yourself mentally now for the real America and losing many comforts/programs you may have become accustomed to.

Yes, this is still within 'normal' timeframes, sometimes it can take up to a month after sending in the petition. Do not worry yet.

No, once the check has been cashed, the petition will enter the "initial review" phase of the application process. Upon review (which typically takes months) the adjudicator may either approve the petition, request further evidence or deny it.

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

Don't worry. I remember one of users here got the NOA-1(by text and email), 3 weeks after sent the I-129F.

Just wait up to 3 weeks. I hope you'll hear a good news anytime soon this week.

Are you sure you sent everything required along with the correct fee? I recall someone waiting awhile for their NOA1, and it turned out it was rejected and sent back because they forgot something. If you are sure it was all correct and had everything required, then just be patient. Perhaps they are slow at sending out the receipt notices at the moment.

Heh, it's amusing to me that I posted that I hadn't recieved anything yet. A couple of hours ago my fiancé got the email that states it's been forwarded to California service center and to wait for the package of further information, so I couldn't wait for that and took the receipt number the email gave us and checked online and it's already in the first initial checks and that it was recieved on the 17th, 3 days ago. I also made my fiancé check the status of the money order, still not been cashed but at least now I know they are looking at it!
