Is this just for K1 or for CR1/IR1 too that need to send in a Readiness form? If so, where do I find that? When do I send it in?

Unfortunately, this poster is not doing a K1. They're doing the CR1.

But, point stands believe it or not. The readiness form is used for both the K1 and IR1/CR1 visas.

Anyway, to answer the actual questions:

1) Readiness Form is here: http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/notification_of_applicant_readiness_form.html

2) You send it in when the following two conditions are met: You've completed your DS-260 and you've got your Medical booked or completed.

Complete all the fields required (so don't touch the K1 ones, and if no-one is coming with you then don't fill out those fields but DO fill out the one asking for your intended date of travel. If you put this as a reasonably close date - say in 6 weeks or so - you may get a quicker interview).

After that, it's unfortunately just a case of "wait and see". You can, as always, check with the NVC after 3-4 weeks to see if a date's been assigned.

Thank you! So I have just completed out DS-260 and my husband is sending in the supporting docs via FedEx tomorrow. My understanding is that in London he can't make an appointment for his medical until he is assigned an interview. So now I guess I am confused as to how he can get a medical without his appointment letter, but I can't send the readiness form until the medical is done.

Try calling Knightsbridge and see what they say. Their site - http://www.visamedicals.info/us.asp - says Interview date (if scheduled). So you might be able to book it in advance.

Unfortunately I'm not as clued up on the CR1 process as I am the K1 process, and with Nich-Nick now gone because of some moderation stupidity unfortunately I'm one of the only people holding down the UK forums...

I had no idea that Nich-Nick is gone! Man Nich-Nick always had the answers.

I saw 'K1' and jumped to conclusions. Thanks for the clarification! I'll be more careful. smile.png

I was given some info

K1 - Required to submit the form

IR1/CR1 - Required to submit the form if both parties are in the foreign country.

IR1/CR1 - If the USC spouse is in the US the NVC will assign the interview date and no readiness form is required.

Brilliant, thanks Angela. Will keep that in mind for future reference. So it's either a case of waiting for Packet 4 (interview letter) or NVC telling you the date.

Thanks for clearing that up, I'm just finishing up at NVC so that info is pretty useful to me :)
