I think it depends on the country and embassy. Mine was quite fast, initial petition send by my fiance on 18.11.2013, he received 04.12.2013 NOA1 i guess, and he had to send back documents, and on 21.02.2014 he received back NOA2.

My envelope from the embassy with instructions for interview received on 14.03.2014.

i gues thats the reason, procesing time depend on embasy.

Good luck!

We filed our petition the beginning part of April 2013 and we didn't get our NOA2 until the middle of August. We received our NOA1 within 7 days and unfortunately, they did tell us it could take up to six months to receive the NOA2. From our timeline it was approximately 125 days for our petition to be approved and 239 days for his interview. We didn't receive any RFE's and all went through okay. It's a long waiting period ...Hang in there...I'm sure everything will be okay.

I am about to head into month 4 but the expected processing time is 5 months. I wouldn't worry until it passes 5 months.

Trisha did you happen to call the USCIS after 5 months? and if so, what did you ask and what did they tell? Just kind of wondering incase I have to call them after our 5 month mark((

Based on your other post about never having met, I'd expect it to be declined. Meeting in person is a requirement for even filing the K-1 visa application. I'm sorry. :( I see that your fiance cannot travel for medical reasons, but you should be able to travel to meet him. Unless you and he meet the requirements that waives meeting face-to-face before submitting the application, you will need to meet in person and reapply. Since this is an arranged marriage, does it fall under any kind of waiver for the "meeting in person within two years" requirement?

I've got approved for my I-129F in 38 days without an RFE. I don't want to scary you but better spend your time reading K-1 visa beneficiaries reviews from Pakistan and you will have an idea how long it takes on average. Good luck!
