Ean...You have a good game plan for your interview. The only other thing I would add is to have your petitioner attend the interview with you.

My guess is you're going to be fine. They understand a student just out of school is on the rising curve of his income. They understand he made less in previous years because he was in school. And they're also likely to accept a co-sponsor if needed because of those factors. Its the older, no or little chance of increasing income people they get hard on. I'd put your worries aside for now, as it appears you have this well covered.

Thank you for the kind words. A woman can't help but worry. Haha. I guess I should lessen worrying now.

I really wish he could and he wants to, but sadly he can't because of work. I hope the CO would let me explain his situation, things they would probably ask him if he was there. Sigh.

CO looks at the evidence, if it is showing weekly income of X amount he will most likely multiple that by 52. The employer letter most times state his annual income as well

In his employment letter his average annual income with overtime is stated 23, 760 and the computation are as follows 50 hours a week=495 x 4 (assuming the 4 weeks in a month x 12) . Will the CO compute it again? Because apparently there are 52 weeks in a year. lol so 495 x 52 is equal to $25,000 ++per anum. His hourly wage is $9, what would the CO use to compute, his weekly paystubs or his hourly rate?

I can only guess and give my opinion (which with $5 can get a cup of coffee at Starbucks), but I think the CO will look at the employer letter and pay stubs.

It got like that when my wife was coming and we were near the end of the process to. We just started doing the Removal of Conditions, and again she wanted to start a little fight. She had misunderstood when we could file, and did not like it when I told her correct info. I guess just starting this got her nerves going again. So far further processing of our evidence and papers has gone smoothly. I think the size of the evidence pile has her feeling more secure laughing.gif

The interview is a very stressful moment in time, you are venturing into the "abyss" ....

You have everything as ready as possible, including a co-sponsor, at this point it will be what it will be.... so relax.

It's a funny thing that when we are all going through this process we think there is a "bad guy" devil.gif behind the curtain (like in the Wizard of Oz) but when we complete the interview we say "that wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be". wow.gif

So relax, enjoy the journey.

The stress is what makes you or your love one "opinionated" rofl.gif

OP is correct. Make up income shortfall with assets is generally allowed with 5 years * gross shortfall. With ANY visa (including marriage)... USCIS does NOT have to allow anything. There are no "rights" with regard to this process. In general, the embassy will like to get a complete picture of your financial standing before rejecting your application solely on a financial basis.
