ds-260 confused... your comment and suggestion needed..

have you ever been refused a US VISA, BEEN REFUSED ADMISSION TO THE UNITED STATES, OR WITHDRAWN YOUR ADMISSION AT THE PORT OF ENTRY?

its only a yes or no .... but i am confused at to what we will going to answer..... been applied for working visa before and did not passed with the USEM consul..... plsssssssssssss need your advice

If you previously applied for a visa and it wasn't issued then your application was refused, meaning you should answer "Yes".

I applied for a group visa at the embassy several years ago, our papers were alright, but we needed a special invitation to get some kind of P visa (Performer's visa I guess) which was new then. They told us they will hold our application for 1 year till we are able to present this special invitation. We never got the invitation (it was too expensive for the person who wanted to invite us) so we never went back to the embassy. I thought our case was "pending" and then "closed" as we didn't reapply. Last year I was stopped at the POE in Atlanta, they asked me if my visa to the US was ever denied, I said NO. Well, they found my old case and told me that my visa WAS denied at the particular moment and a year I was applying with the group. They said 'if you applied and never got it, no matter what reason, it is DENIED'. Thank God they figured out what happened then and why I didn't get visa and I was free to go.

thank you for your prompt response.... well i know that my case was refused and i got the blue paper that time .... but its shame on me i have not able to keep it as i never thought i will going to apply any application going to USA ever again..... .

i just found out that i make mistake of answering no in I - 130 FOR THE SAME QUESTION .... DOES WILL AFFECT MY APPLICATION? IT WAS A MISTAKE OF MINE

Your I-130 is approved correct? Then don't worry about what it says on the I-130 and explain that you didn't understand the question if it comes up at interview. Make sure to fill out the DS-260 correctly and if it's incorrect and a major issue like this one, that you correct it before interview.

I also applied for a visitors visa in early 2010, I had an appointment for an interview so I went. The interviewee said that i don't have enough supporting papers so they gave the form back to me and my passport without any denied stamp, only written no enough supporting docs on my application. it's nearly 4 yrs. Would it affect my port of entry or during my interview? Pls reply.

Having a declined visitor or work visa will not affect your ability to get a spousal visa as long as a) you did not lie and b) correctly marked the I-130 and DS-260.

Ok,this is what to me too,am about filling the ds260,in 2012 I applied for a visit visa, but the only thing I actually did was pay visa fee,but never booked for an appointment and never went in for interview, just only visa fee at the bank,what should be my answer when asked too on the ds260 about former inmigration process
