What is Packet 3 & 4?

Hello guys,

I am leaving the country until the end of April next week. So far, our visa has been going by pretty smoothly. I didn't think it would be this quick at first and that's why I booked for a trip this month.

Anyhow, our K-1 has been received by the US Embassy in London on 3/6-3/7 and I've just gotten a notice letter from the NVC yesterday. I am about to mail my fiance in the UK the I-134 along with the requirements on the visa guideline that I read here. But I've noticed on many others' timelines that you guys do receive package 3 and 4 sometimes. So my concern is what would I need to do before I leave? I haven't received package 3 in the mail -- is this something that I can prepare ahead of time or something that I would have to wait until it arrives? I am confused as what is this package 3 that I should expect.

Is there something else that I should do before I leave?

Any help is appreciated (:

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Australia
Timeline

Packet 3 would be the first communication you get from your local consulate. They will ask you what they require from you and provide info to go get your medical done. Packet 4 is when they have received what they need and are ready to do interview. Don't plan moving dates until your interview is done and that you get final approval, even better to wait until you have the visa in hands

I am the US fiance/petitioner, so it's not something that I would receive -- it would be my fiance in the UK, correct?

If that's the case, then I don't really have too much to worry about, except for sending over the I-134 and supporting documentations...

Correct. Your other half in the UK will get P3 and P4, and you just need to get the I-134 and supporting documents over.
