Is it necessary for the foreign fiancé (beneficiary) to provide a birth certificate with the first packet? I saw that it is necessary for the interview, but what about the first packet? I saw it on the cover letter checklist, but couldn't find any info on the website. I did see however, a few people saying that they received an RFE for not having it with Packet #1. Thanks!!

I submitted one on my first packet, even though it wasn't specifically asked. Just tacked a copy to the back of my biometrics form. Didn't get an RFE. In my third packet I was asked to send in the original.

Journey so far:

08/31/2013: Sent I-129F Packet

08/19/2013: NOA1 Received

09/08/2013: Alien Registration Number Changed

10/15/2013: USCIS reported change of address

10/15/2013: NOA2 Received

10/21/2013: NVC Received Packet

11/05/2013: Packet 3 Received

12/12/2013: Status Updated. Awaiting Packet 4 & interview date

12/14/2013: Packet 4 Received

12/24/2013: Interview -- APPROVED!

01/02/2014: Visa printed and arrived in mail.

FLIGHT BOOKED FOR 04/15/2014 <3

No. The birth certificate of the foreign fiance(e) is not required with the I-129F petition. They need that for their K-1 visa interview later. All of the requirements for the I-129F petition are listed in the guide here on VJ > http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Could you provide links to the posts where you saw people state they received an RFE for not sending the birth certificate of the foreign fiance(e) with the I-129F petition?
