1040 or Tax Transcripts?

One more question about this... do they keep any of the tax forms or other personal financial info we use during the interview? I think I remember reading somewhere to black out any account numbers or SSN's on the documents.

They will keep all the documents, so make sure you don't send in any originals. If you send tax transcripts they do not need to be notarized. Simple copies will do.

Thanks everyone.

Yes they keep all the financial documents for the interview, which is why you send copies. But you do not black out the SSN at the embassy... after all they already has that info anyway, you gave it to them on the G-325A wink.png And it will not be the last time you give them your SSN during this whole process.

The suggestion for blacking out the SSN is if you give CFO a copy of your ITR

Good point, they already have it. smile.png Ah OK on the ITR, I knew I read about blacking out the SSN somewhere.
