We can't help but think there is something wrong with our ROC packet. After compiling all of the evidentiary info that is supposed to accompany the petition, we ended up with literally hundreds of pages to ship. Are we doing something wrong?

We have:

1. 2 years of complete tax returns (all pages)

2. About 15 months of bank statements all pages

3. 15 months of utility bills (lights, water, cable etc) showing both names

4. Original lease

5. Lease renewal

6. Title of vehicle

7. Marriage license

8. 1 affidavit from friend we've known over 10 years

9. Life insurance showing both spouses as beneficiary on each other's policies

10. Dental and vision insurance through employer showing coverage for spouse

11. About 10 photos of special occasions

2003/4 School Year: Met hubby while we were in college...became great friends
2005: My college graduation
2011: Began dating
1/13/12: Got Married to the world's best hubby
2/2/12: Mailed I-130, I-485, I-765 to Chicago Lockbox
2/3/12: Package received and signed for by USCIS
2/13/12: Received NOA1 for all 3 petitions
2/16/12: Got driver's license reinstated
2/17/12: Received notice for biometrics appointment
3/1/12: Biometrics appointment successful
3/5/12: Received notification of appointment for interview scheduled for April 4, 2012
3/28/12: Received notification that production has been ordered for my EAD
4/4/12: AOS interview with my hubby; approved on the spot! Thank you Jesus!

TOTAL TIME FROM FILING TO GREEN CARD APPROVAL: 2 months and 2 days.....Didn't even get EAD; no need for it with green card!

REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS:

3/11/14: Shipped I-751 package to Vermont Service Center

3/12/14: Received at VSC and signed for by L ZUCHOWSKI.

3/17/14: Payment shows on our bank account for the check written.

4/4/14: Early biometrics successful!

9/25/14: Case update: APPROVAL NOTICE!!!

10/4/14:10 year green card arrived in the mail!!! Yay!

TOTAL TIME FROM FILING I-751 TO APPROVAL: 6 months and 14 days....No RFE or interview! Thankful to God that this is behind us!

Your list looks great. Transcripts are easy to get. You can get them online almost instantly now (I tried this last week)

http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

It can end up being less # of pages and can help cut down the thickness of your application :)

To cut down on the bulk I also only did every few months on the utility and bank statements. I didn't send every month.

I sent maybe January, then May, Sept and December for each year that we were married..something like that.

But as far the types of things you're including as evidence, I think you're golden!

Good luck!

the weight and page count seems right.

Congrats on doing it right !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

We can't help but think there is something wrong with our ROC packet. After compiling all of the evidentiary info that is supposed to accompany the petition, we ended up with literally hundreds of pages to ship. Are we doing something wrong? No, that is how much paper there is in two years worth of relationship. I would par it down a little, but that's me--YMMV.

We have:

1. 2 years of complete tax returns (all pages) Get transcripts as that is usually a single condensed page per year

2. About 15 months of bank statements all pages Might want to send in a statement per quarter. My investment statements were 16 pages each so I decided to only use each quarter.

3. 15 months of utility bills (lights, water, cable etc) showing both names Pick some of these as these are not that good of evidence, #4 and #5 are better. We sent in no utility bills as I am the only named person on them. Again I would pick a few and send in only every quarter

4. Original lease Good evidence of living together as long as both are listed on the lease.

5. Lease renewal Same as #4

6. Title of vehicle This is also better than #3 and I would include insurance if the foreign spouse has their DL

7. Marriage license Not required, but still a good idea

8. 1 affidavit from friend we've known over 10 years Not really needed, but it could not hurt.

9. Life insurance showing both spouses as beneficiary on each other's policies Good. Any wills or power of attorney. Joint investment accounts?

10. Dental and vision insurance through employer showing coverage for spouse Good. What about emergency contact or other items where the foreign spouse is listed on the USC's employer's benefits and if the foreign spouse is working where the USC is listed on the foreign spouse's employer's benefits

11. About 10 photos of special occasions

Any trips together? Driver's license, learner's permit or state ID with the same address as this would be better than #3 as utilities could careless about who is on the bill. I would go for quality rather than quantity. I think ours ended up being about 0.5" thick mainly due to 8 pages double sided investment statements and as I said, I sent in one per quarter.

Good luck,

Dave

Showing both names on utility bills is good evidence

re: quarterly vs monthly -

I lean towards monthly, each and every time.

Why? If'n you present yer stuff in a monthly journal fashion, USCIS adjudicators won't ding you on anything.

So what if it weighs 11 pounds? Seriously - so what?

Just stacked mine up and it is close to 2", included every bank statement for 20 months, so your stack sounds about right. Don't forget copies front and back of driver's licenses (as mentioned by someone already) and green cards. Hope the officer looking at it has strong arms :)
