Got our NOA1, I think???? Just received a text which reads:

"USCIS: Your case was received. Receipt #. Official Receipt Notice to follow in the mail." Does that sound like an NOA1?? It didn't even say where/if they were forwarding it to.

I'm confused.

We didn't get a text or e-mail, We didn't ask for that. We got out NOA1. On our letter it says:

" The I-129F, Petition for alien fiance(e) has been recived by our office for the following beneficiaries and is in process"

Then it's my name and my d.o.b and my country (UK)

But that is your NOA1, And you will receive the letter in the mail within a few days :)

Yes, It is your NOA1.

I think it will be at the bottom of the letter, That where it says ours is at the TSC :)

I keep on checking everyday even two times a day on our case. haha! I need to stop looking cause I'm going insane and worrying, I pass time by looking at the next stages and what forms will I need

to fill in when I get back home (April 12th) I wish I could stay with him in Texas forever, But that would be breaking my VWP. Playing it by the book here :)

I have heard that TSC is quite quick to wha they use to be.. I'm just hoping it carries on, I like to follow this post cause I like hearing other peoples stories and journey.

Exactly! Everyone keeps me asking me and I said we just have to be patient.....it could take a long time and I am not going to get my hopes that it will take less. In my mind, I say "He will be here for Christmas I hope." That would be my goal! If it happens sooner, I will be thrilled but I am not going to count on it.

I am following yours as well. I'm glad to hear you are Dominican as well - he's from Constanza which is so beautiful! We are very close - I work in Weymouth and live in Rockland! :)

Crossing my fingers for good luck for both of us! ;)

Yeah, we are doing the same thing. We are planning ourselves for an October/November interview notice, and having her come here December or January. Anything before that would be a blessing! :)

Constanza is AMAZING!!! One of the most beautiful places in our country... Specially for nature lovers! Yes, we are close indeed. Live in Quincy, and work in Boston. I go to Weymouth all the time. Yes, lets keep our hopes and spirits up and positive. Things will be fast and smooth! :D

I think it's the NOA1, but you won't get the actual paper until possible end of this week or beginning of the next. So, now you are just going to wait for the documents in the mail, and then start the clock on the NOA2. Good luck and congrats!

I guess I'll have to wait for the paper copy to know what our service center is. Grr. more waiting! Guess I'd better get used to it though. :)

I've just logged in to USCIS website to check my case status and it says that my Alien Registration Number was changed on 2th of April, a day after we got our NOA1.

Does this mean that things are going fast in TSC? I really hope so!

Best wishes and good luck on your case!

Hi all,

Not sure if someone answered you already but, yes, you can tell which center your petition was sent to from the receipt number. I was at TSC - which is prefix SRC - so that's the only one I know. I think if you do a VJ search of service center receipt codes you should find the others.

Hope that helps.

Good luck to all of you as you wait for NOA2s...it's a long process but it will happen!

Is WAC the California Service Center? Ours was prefaced by WAC.

Congrats Lilay on your ARN!! That is great! And thanks for the encouragement nina.mb. Gah! Waiting is the worst sometimes.

The USCIS website is saying 5 months of waiting for all the centers. But I've seen them processed much quicker on VJ. Is VJ more accurate??

mccasper13, thanks and congrats to you, too! :)

And I don't think that it's accurate, because it changes from case to case. It's, at least these days, much faster than 5 months :) Hopefully ours will be like that too!

On my timeline, VisaJourney says that my expected NOA2 date should be in June or July. So it should be a lot less than 5, but it also depends on the service center and my application :)
