Bahaha! I'm sure you'll get a pass given the circumstances ^_^

I'm glad you've been speaking to nice folks at NVC, I've been surprised to read so many tales of rudeness lately. Everyone has been very pleasant to me so far. I'm relieved to hear they're working through the backlog, that's fantastic news! Interesting to hear about NVC's inner workings as well, for some reason I never imagined the xray and chemical scan process. Your thought on following a case file through its journey makes me think of "I'm Just a Bill" from Schoolhouse Rock. Admittedly, "I'm Just an Immigrant Visa" doesn't have quite the same ring to it  But it would be interesting!

If NVC receives 2000 files a day. How many does USCIS receive everyday?

Nice to see you, finally sailed through the TSC.

This is a simple question, but I am wondering if I will get notified when my file is mailed from TSC to NVC...or do I just need to call around the 2 week mark to see if its shipped?

Totally freaked out . Went to Passport seva Kendra to get PCC before checklist ,officer told me you can't have it right now as you have to re issue your passport to amend your wife''s name on it. I dint know this before nor my agent told me. I m in the middle of NVC process paid AOS bill waiting for IV to pay but now so pissed off . Have to apply for new passport whole procedure gonna 1 n half month. Can't believe my agent dint informed me whole things gonna delay case for a mnth

it doesnt make any sense , if you have a passport which was issue before your marriage and and its not expired yet it shouldnt be a problem, there you should be a way out .

Hey Saylin

So we've just found out that we just have to send in the completed 1040X (amendment) that my wife has to fill out and not wait the 8 weeks for IRS to complete the amendment. With this in mind, given the fact that NVC are currently reviewing our AOS wouldn't it be prudent to call them and let them know we have realised we made a mistake after receiving incorrect advice and send in the filled out 1040x and ask them to attach it to our file?

That way, when the interview takes place the ConOff will have it there in front of him/her.

It's either that or just not notify NVC and bring it along to the interview.

I just do not want to take any chances.

Thanks so much in advance!

Did you ask USCIS whether your case got shipped to NVC?

Mine was stuck @ Tsc for 30 days.

It has been almost 6 weeks since we recieved our NOA 2.

And we are still not in the NVC system.

Are other's experiencing this delay?

I know the NVC phone agents say 8 weeks, but we really didn't think it would take this long according to the

timelines of others.

thanks.

Based on their volumes and trends page, I'd say 50,000 petitions/month is a reasonable average for last year, so it's actually not too different. Figure 20 business days per month, that's 2,500 petitions received per day.

ROC Timeline

04/06/2016 - Mailed I-751

04/07/2016 - NOA1

04/13/2016 - Check cashed

04/14/2016 - NOA1 hardcopy

05/04/2016 - Received biometric notice

05/16/2016 - Biometrics appointment

05/17/2017 - Approved

05/22/2017 - Card in Production

05/25/2017 - Card Mailed

05/30/2017 - Card Received

My friend did you or did your agent make the appointment for PSK? By agent I understand you are mentioning about some person you met at the PSK? Secondly when you were at this stage you should have checked single and applied for the PCC. You really want to amend the name only if you have time on your side. Lastly you should have done a little research and not gone to the agent. I applied for my PCC and it took me a month to get it. I didn't use the services of the agent.

I sent mine only in one package as my AOS has only one page I 864W. But I did mention attn: AOS/ CMR. I followed Saylin post.

Hi all, we just got approved on Wednesday. smile.png Quick couple of questions about sending in paystubs and relationship evidence: 1. How many months of paystubs is recommended? and 2. When I send in the additional relationship evidence does it have to include copies of the same evidence I initially sent in to USCIS, or do they forward everything over to the NVC? Thanks!

Several days ago this discussion was present here on the thread also, and it may seem appropriate that only paystubs from 2014 would be of any use since they are showing current income. If your stubs show a year-to-date amount, then you may not need more than a couple, but do what you feel is best.

Hello All!

The up-side is that if this keeps getting dragged out, by the time my husband is issued his visa and is able to enter the US, we would have been married for over 2 years and he'll get the 10 year permanent resident visa instead of the conditional PR card.

Eh. At least the weather is getting nicer, waiting through the winter was awful.

I felt the same way when we passed the 2 year mark waiting for the process:) It will save us some work in the future!

And yes about the weather too! Our Canadian weather is going to break out of the cold here today and we'll reach the freezing mark, woot!!

My husband, the petitioner left some fields blank on his AOS like Social Security Number for me (because I, the applicant don't have any yet).. Will we get an RFE for leaving it blank? Thanks!

Don't worry about the SSN for sure, I doubt filling it in with anything would be a good idea. And about blanks, the last couple months on this NVC thread proved over and over that people got checklists for blank spaces on the 864, so I for one am going to ensure hubby puts none or N/A in any blank that looks appropriate for oneidea9dv.gif

hello,

I had a question about emailing the I-864 and the supporting documents and IV package and the supporting documents via email. Can you scan the I-864 and the supporting documents into one fine and send it or each document (ie. each supporting document) separately. Also does this apply to the IV package

And\ do you scan and send the photos?, do you need to send in the back of one photo as it need the info on the back?

Thank you

I know Saylin responded to a very similar question just a few days back, about the scanning of files I mean.

And I've heard someone state they photocopied the front and back of one photo twice, to meet the requirements.
