Woohoo, another one, grats!

And yet another one!! Grats!

Read the wiki on the NVC process ;)

WOW look at all these Case completes.

Okay my PSA for the day (maybe morning more to come I feel:)

Saylin baby girl you know I gots your back and I am your biggest cheerleader. And you are the beacon of cheer and hope.

Goodness I don't even have a play in all this Visa journey business and I am here.

People need to appreciate sacrifice and help when they see it and just thank God. They get there's and move on and we are still here making sure others find their way.

Be grateful people is all I say. Some of us get to that happy ever after and for that you should appreciate what others do to help you get there.

Okay sermon over.

Case Complete to Interview spreadsheet

From now on your VJ Member name will be verified. If the name you put on form to be added to spreadsheet comes up not found, you will not be added to the spreadsheet. If you don't have a timeline you will not be added to the spreadsheet.

woohoo!! :dancing::dancing: case complete for me :dancing::dancing: Thank you God!

Question guys.. what to do now? how long do i have to wait for the interview? Thank you!

Congrats! Can you share your timeline?

Well, unless you're joining the thread just now, yes, you'd have 280 posts to read. But, IIRC, you've already posted in here...

And I don't know how others see it, but I believe I have a whole heck ton of patience dealing with people in this thread. And due to these people, I'm going to become much less active here within a few days as I've had enough.

And no, it's not the end of the world. Keep that in mind as well if you ever complain about this process, because guess what, that's not the end of the world either.

Oh no! There's been a mass exodus of knowledgeable senior members around VJ lately. There's an end to everyone's patience, of course, but remember the vast majority of us see the work you do and are hugely appreciative!

Debbie and BOS_LHR, thanks for your kinds words :luv:

I'll probably still create the monthly threads, leaving a link to the wiki (and I suppose the spreadsheet/request form) in the first post, but then that's it. I won't be following the actual posts after that. There's other knowledgeable members here

Preach on ;) I can't count how many times I've answered the same questions over and over in I-130 threads. Some days it's not so bad, other days you just don't want to play ball. Everyone wants spoon-feeding! Just a general observation from my VJ experiences. It's the time and patience of veteran members that keeps hundreds of others moving smoothly through the process. Anyone who has ever asked a question without first trying to find the answer on their own should count their blessings you guys are around to answer!

Hello,

I am trying to complete the I-864 form for my husband who is a petitioner.

I have a few questions to ask and am hoping someone could answer for me...

1) My husband is currently in Japan so we have a joint sponsor who needs to file the form I-864.

This sponsor uses assets to suppliment income. He is married and has a saving account & a

proof of house value in both his name and his wife's name. Should his wife need to file the form I-864A?

2) If so, the part 7 on the form I-864, the # 5b has to be 0$? Putting their total assets there is not right because

there is the # 10 that should be the total amount of assets.

In addition the # 12d on the form I-864A is filled out as the same number as the # 10 on the form I-846. Is this correct?

I am so confused and has anyone had the same experience as mine?

Thank you for you help...

You won't get denied if you filled a question wrong. You'll just be put into AP until you fix it.

And you're supposed to use the exact amount from the tax return/transcript, whether you filed jointly or not. In cases where you file jointly, you're supposed to include W2s with the transcripts to show individual income.

If you're not sure, just bring a form to the interview with that question left blank and go over it with them, looking at the tax information, and they should help you fix it.

Grats by the way on the case complete :)

Ok, so even if my Dad, as the Joint Sponsor files a joint tax return with my mom, we still use Line 22 from the return in that 13a1 even though we are using ONLY his income to meet the sponsorship guidelines? And that is supported by including the W2s? Which he actually already provided. I'm just making sure I understand what you're saying.

If thats the case, then simple fix!

BTW, I'm glad you got your new job, but I'm very happy I got to be here to get the full benefit of your knowledge and wisdom before you leave us! :-)

Thanks!

Just want to say a huge Thank You to Saylin, dwheels, BOS_LHR, Darnell...and others whose names I've forgotten.

Please don't let a few dumb posts make you think your help and knowledge aren't appreciated because that is most certainly not the case for 99.999% of the people reading these posts and all the great information you've provided.

I think some people get either panicky or lazy and want all the answers handed to them on a plate. They don't realize you have lives too and you're doing this stuff purely out of kindness and willingness to help other folks.

Saylin, first let me say thank you. In the immigration world that I became aware of as I started this process,

Your thread, posts and NVC guide is the premium content for all those seeking NVC nirvana.

I dont know who runs the show at VJ but they should be approaching you with a share of the add revenue from

the site to keep you engaged. Also, I always thought you should have a Paypal button so that all of us could

say thanks in a meaningful way.

Oh my! I don't think I've earned a spot among those distinguished folks quite yet, but I do appreciate the shout out ^_^ And I'm happy to join the chorus of voices shouting praises for those who have hung around for months and years after finishing their own journeys, just out of the goodness of their hearts. Bunch of rock stars, one and all.

Saylin, let me make something really clear to you; I think that you are very helpful, but you need to watch how you talk to people! You just posted the message yesterday I do believe! That is why I said that you need to be patient. You could have addressed me in a different manner. I have never disrepected you so please do not disrespect me! The sighs were totally unnecessary!

Also, be careful not to judge, Saylin! I know quite a bit more than you think! I have been through the visa process before, going on 8 years (yes, 8 YEARS), so I can definitely testify that it is not the end of the world for me! We are not discussing the process; we are discussing how you responded to me.

Please remember that you represent VJ! So please be a little more professional when dealing with us!
