Hi Saylin, I'm trying to get my transcript record of my tax from IRS website. I'm confused with choices i have to choose, cause there's a question:

Please select the reason you are requesting a transcript to help us determine the appropriate transcript for your needs.

Higher Education/Student Aid

FEMA/Disaster Related

State or Local Tax Issue

Mortgage Related

State Licensing

Income Verification

Federal Tax

Small Business Loan

Health Care

Immigration

Housing Assistance

Other

Which one should I check on the choices? Thanks in advance.

'this is just a guess, but I think it might be immigration.

Thanks Lakehouse for your reply. However I can't find on the transcripts the source of income. :-( It looks like it's combined when it's filed jointly...

Anyone can see the source of the income on the IRS transcripts??

Let me know what you ended up doing.

We have a similar situation and our lawyer told us to use the full return.

Shows my W2s and her W2s separately.

Well I think the full tax return should work perfectly (with w2, 1040, 1099). But as they prefer IRS transcripts, I'd rather just add the w2s as extra (and also not to bother my joint-sponsor even more). So we'll put the transcripts and the W2 along with a clarification/explanation letter.

The photo that I need for my medical exam in Germany has to match the US photo requirement right? :huh2:

Yep, and depending where you have your medical (Frankfurt) you only need 1 photo and not 3 as it says on the consulate's website

I have a question. My husband scheduled a medical interview for April 4, with Knightsbridge medical for the London embassy. on the medical questionnaire it asks for a visa interview date, but he doesn't have one yet; however, on the London Embassy website it says that a visa interview will not be scheduled till a medical examination is complete and results are at the London embassy. I'm confused now...does he need to have an interview date before the medical exam? Thanks

Hi there

The medical in London needs to be completed before the interview. Knightsbridge send the results directly to the embassy. This takes about 5 days.

Please note that you should not be having a medical before your case is complete at NVC and all your paper work has been received at London. I had one booked for 20 Feb but then I saw a post from someone who turned up for their interview at London and they did not have his medical results because they arrived before his case did and there was nothing to match them up with so they went missing.

After seeing this I called Knightsbridge and they confirmed that you should not be having the medical while the case is still at NVC. If you have it 2 weeks after case complete, that should be fine.

Hi there - my USC husband is mailing off our IV packet today. I noted the sample cover letter on the wiki (thanks Saylin, it's mega helpful.) I notice that the sample letter is from me the beneficiary. But it's my husband mailing it (and I'm in UK so can't physically sign it.) Can the packet and sample letter be from him? I have made him the agent with the NVC so hope this isn't a problem?

Thanks in advance for any help

Yes, it's nothing to be alerted for. Try logging in again after a little while or try to use IE to log in. I had this problem a lot lately using my ipad to log in, but not once with the computer using IE.

Usually it would be the I864A if the spouse has income as well, I believe if his spouse has no income then you would not need to submit the form ?
