Good morning all,

I have a simple question: when can I provide my email addresses to NVC (petitioner and beneficary)? is it after NVC receives the petitions or after a case number is issued?

Received an email from the embassy this morning. They have sent out a letter on 13th march, today, saying they are ready to process my 129 and to follow the instructions in the letter. Should get that letter tomorrow! Have everything ready, I'm good to go. Woohoo!

I just looked at the screenshots for the DS-260. Holy sheep. I know that it is an older version but maybe for those of you who have filled it out recently can give me insight. Do they still ask for beneficiaries parents names, birth dates/death dates, all addresses lived at since age 16? All previous employers?

That's a ####### load of info that I need to get from my parents if this is the case. I guess I also need to ask them if they have ever been a member of the Taliban, since that question is on there too!wow.gif

Checking in with the latest and greatest *cough* happy.png

USPS delivered my AOS packet to NVC on Friday March 7, it shows in their system as received Tuesday March 11. I was told 30 business days for review. DS-261 was submitted March 3, shows in the system as accepted on March 5, and I was told it's taking "a little longer" than the usual 5-10 business days to invoice the IV fee.

Oh lord, I need help does anyone know if the petitioner can fill out the ds260 and sign for the applicant? My husband speaks no English and is not to great with computers :( please help me ?

yes you can!

There is no signature needed on paper as the forms are now electronic.

The only signature required is the submit button after you fill out teh form online.

Did you asign yourself as the agent in the DS 261? I did this and then filled out the DS260 myself for my wife and stepson.

No my attorney was the point of contact, I just don't want to sign it and then a question comes up at the interview and he has no idea how to answer.

According to Saylin's first two posts:

Can the petitioner fill out the DS-261 and/or DS-260?

Yes. It's very common for the petitioner to file the DS-261 and/or DS-260 on behalf of the beneficiary (typically due to the language barrier and/or no/low internet connection). This is perfectly fine.

I would just make sure that you go over the questions with him so he knows what it is being submitted, since technically it's his info anyway.

Eek don't know how that happened, see previous post. No my 130 is still active. Haven't received case no. yet. Will close it when we get k3 up and running.
