I am really hoping to hear from them to and hope they keep up the hmmm can't say good work cause others have waited longer than average but keep up with there goal if i don't hear from them in 3 months i'll go crazy!

Hi There, my PD is December 17. We called yesterday and they said they were processing November 5th.. so they were not able to do anything for us... is that normal? it has been more than 5 months! I know a lot of people are waiting and have been waiting for much longer than that, and I am sorry. I am also very frustrated because my husband and I are living abroad and it seems that if we had fill now our case would have been processed much faster :(

Same feelings here. My PD is November 15 and every time I call, they won't let me file a service request because they say that NSC is still on Nov 5th. That's the same date they've given for the past 2-3 weeks.

I also live abroad with my spouse and am seeing now that the people who've filed in the past month are getting auto-expedited. So frustrating!

11/12/13 - I-130 package sent

11/15/13 - NOA1

05/27/14 - NOA2

06/16/14 - Case received NVC

07/01/14 - Case number assigned

07/21/14 - DS-261 completed

07/25/14 - AOS bill paid

08/18/2014 - add-on AOS package sent (learned that I should have sent 2 separate I-864s even though the cases are joined...oops!)

09/19/2014 - IV bill paid

03/02/2015 - Case Complete!!! (70 days)

yes, it was auto expedites for people abroad for a while, then it stopped, and it started again recently :(

Exactly. So basically we should've filed much earlier or much later and we would've been auto-expedited. There is no consistency. I could've filed 3 weeks ago and been at the same place (or even further along) than where I am now. :ranting:

Is it possible to fill in again? that will coast 420$ but at least it may be faster...

Hello everyone,

I actually called about two weeks ago and mentioned to a tier-2 officer about the auto-expedites granted to those who filed recently from abroad. She said that it's not true at all and that since my pd is Feb 24, 2014, I am still within the processing time. I am so fed up with this unfairness!!! How I wish I had better news to share!

2/24/2014 (NSC): NOA1
5/20/2014: Alien Registration number changed
7/8/2014: Transferred to TSC
7/22/2014: Re-transferred to CSC
7/24/2014: NOA2

8/1/2014: Arrived at NVC

8/14/2014: Case number assigned

I'm not sure but auto-expedites seem to be only at CSC as far as I can observe on this site.

And recently no new people get approved in such a short term even at CSC. I'm not sure what was happening...

Got an email this morning from USCIS for an RFE on our case. Which is extremely heartbreaking, since I sent them everything plus more regarding our case. I don't even know what more could they want. I basically left my entire life and lived in another country for 4 months just to make sure I got everything to bring my husband over. Now they need more?

I've been waiting so long for this?

Can I call to find out - or do I have to wait on this letter?

we filed december 11, 2013 at chicago lockbox and our case was directly send to Nebraska Service Center.

called them last week because its 5 months already and the lady on the phone wanted to put an e-request into the system, but..... she couldnt do that because we live abroad !!!!!!!

how stupid is that... then she tranfered the call to , i think tier 2 ...waiting time 2 hours #@%&!... then this guy answeres the phone and told us we cannot request for an e-request at this moment because we have to wait till our case is at least 6 months old, then they can put an e-request into their system....

in case you can yourself send a erequest: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do

but this will not be useful as they want us to wait more than 5 monhts (i did it yesterday and once I sent it they said me that our case was still in the normal processing time... but it has been more than 5 months). What I did is I put the state of where I will be going when i will be in the US as I am also leaving abroad with my husband (who is the petitioner / american citizen). But that does not matter to send the erequest.
