Hi,

I worked in the US from 2001 to 2008 on H1 Visas. During that period, in 2007 my wife put up domestic violence charges on me since she did not want the divorce. The judge put me on probation and the charges were dismissed in 2008. My ex wife still lives in the US with my kids and I moved back to india in 2008 after that. Before coming back to India, I already had requested the judge to purge all the records and the request was granted. Thenafter, I applied twice for business visas in 2010 and 2011 as i was already working for an American company and managing their India offices. The visas got rejected. Now I am married to a US citizen. It has already been more than 5 years. In this case, will those records affect my immigration as a dependent of a US citizen?

Any help or insight into this matter is appreciated.

Thank You.
VB

Yeap. My wife knows everything related and so does our lawyer that we have hired. Also please note that this was about 5 to 6 years back. And I got married in Aug of 2013. We filed the I130 and I129F both in October of 2013.
