Extremely frustrated! I have done everything right, but got hit with this designation last week. Interview in Santo Domingo on December 22, 2013 went well. All paperwork is in order. My USA based Immigration attorney is at a loss as am I? She is basically telling me the Process is out of our hands now and we must wait on The Consulate to make a decision. Any help or experience will be appreciated! Thanks, Ted

Well it is 2 months after yoir interview.

I understand you are worry, but remember that some cases in AP take some months for them take a decission.

However you can e-mail the dominican consulate, they answer in 2 bussines days.

Remember type in the subject your case number.

And in the e-mail write:

Petitioner's name. And birthday.

Beneficiary name and birthday.

He's going for the K-1 visa. It's there in his timeline.

However, I can see why the OP's post is confusing to you.....

K1 Fiance Visa, we have known each other for 3 years, dated for 2 and a half years. I have been there approximately 15x in the last 3 years. Ted

On August 27, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations. And I have no idea what this means,,,,,,,,,,in laymens terms?

The August 27, 2013 notice states that your petition WAS APPROVED, which was your NOA2. So, what did you do after that? Did you read your paperwork and complete it as required? Sounds like you need to contact the telephone number you were provided and find out what's up.

Ok, we had our interview in the Dominican Republic on December 22, and now we are in limbo! Ted

I see. Well, you are in limbo, but not totally helpless. It's in their hands, and the final decision belongs to them. Stay on it, and involve the Ombudsman, your congressman, senators, and I would say your lawyer, but as with so many immigration lawyers you're better off doing it yourself.

The your Fiances Visa should be arriving in the mail or at DomEx VERY soon!!! "issued" Means it has been sent. You should have a tracking number on the receipt when you paid DomEx after your interview....

NOTE: Actual sent date unknown due to lawyer negligence - I delivered ALLForms and PAID Lawyer on Nov 7, 2012 - Lawyer kept saying he sent the packet and USCIS must have lost it. When in reality he failed to send the package and only a new copy to USCIS after I made a legal written demand giving him 10 days to perform or return ALL monies paid to him, due to "non-performance".

(IMO it's better to save your money for visits to or from your Fiancé and just fill it out yourself using the K-1 Guide on VJ and Senior Members... They Rock!!!)
