K1 confusion

Hi

I have just read that once I have got a k1 visa, it is valid for one entry into the US within 6 months of issue. Which confused me a little as i thought i had 90 days to leave for the US once it is issued. Does it mean i have 6 months to leave for the US and then 90 days once in the US to marry?

Can someone please ease my confusion a little?

London will issue your visa with an expiration 6 months from the date of your medical exam. You have to enter the US before the visa expires. Once in the US, you have 90 days to marry. Your 90 days start when you enter.
