I'm sure this has been answered before, but I searched and couldn't find anything, so I'm just wondering for people around Vancouver where did you get your police check and how long did it take? What should I ask for when I go in? I have no previous convictions so I understand that I don't need to do fingerprints.

Thanks.

I went into the RCMP detachment in Langley and asked for a canada wide name check ... I think it cost me $35.00 and I had it in my hands in about 10-15mins ... I believe you need to go to the local police station that serves your area ...

I went to the RCMP detachment in Vancouver and got it in about a half-hour for $40. Two pieces of ID (birth certificate and driver's license) and you're good to go. :)

Ask if they can give it to you ASAP. I had to wait for mine in North Delta. They had to send it to South Delta and I had too call the guy their to bug him to do it quick cause I was in a time crunch with mine.
