K1 visa DS-230

Hi Guys,

I recently received "packet 3" from the US embassy here in London, i've done all the forms etc, but on the checklist it stated that I was to complete ds-230. My question is that do I have to submit this now, or bring it on the day of my interview?

From what I understand, they don't use the DS-230 anymore, now it's the DS-260. Available online only.

You are supposed to fill out the DS-260 online (on the CAEC site) after the switch to electronic forms. Unfortunately, some embassies/consulates still use the paper forms (not sure why the London Embassy is asking for the DS-230, probably outdated instructions letter?)

As suggested earlier, the folks in the UK sub-forum can tell you exactly what form is currently being accepted.

When my wife went to her interview last month, we weren't sure which form version the embassy in Ghana accepted. Even though, we had submitted the DS-260 online, we filled the DS-230 and brought it on the day of interview just in case. The DS-230 was not required, but we didn't stand to lose anything anyway.

Unless it has changed in the last week again, you only need to fill out the DS-160 and the Form of Readiness, for a K1 visa that is. I believe only the IR-1/CR-1 form requires the form you are mentioning. The wording is pretty horrible on the form though from memory, so it is a valid question, a question that I previously asked
