I have always done it there, most times at customs I ask them for a extended visa and I get it handled at the airport, one time I waited and wen to the bureau of immigration and got an extended visa.

Are you married to a Filipina? You can get the Balikbayan stamp at customs for free and it's good for a year.

Normal (automatic) tourist visa is now 30 days.
