My Fiancee has just received 2nd NOA. It does give the receipt number, but there is no where to check that on NVC website? Do I wait for 2 weeks and then get my Fiance to contact the NVC? The dates listed on 2nd NOA are as follows 02/05/2014 - 06/04/2014

Please can someone advise?

Wait about a month and then either call or send an e-mail to NVC.

If you choose to e-mail them write your case number in the subject line and then remember to include the petitioner and beneficiary's full names and dates of birth. And of course tell them you'd like to know whether your case has been receive and sent to the US embassy or not.

You either can wait until hardcopy of NVC arrived at your fiance's address or call them. I got my case number from DoS (Visa Unit) by calling 2 weeks after approval showed up on USCIS website - unfortunately I read on VJ recently that they don't handle K-1 visa anymore-. You need the case number to communicate with the US embassy where the beneficiary will have the interview.

I saw your case was processing at CSC. I don't like to bring a bad news but they are infamous on VJ for being slow sent the approved petition to NVC even though the service center have high percentage of faster approval compare to the other service center.

Wait a few days then call NVC. If they have your case number, they will tell you. If they don't have it, they will tell you to wait 8 weeks (or a similarly long time) before calling back again. Just hang up and call again the next day.

Don't call the embassy, they will know NOTHING about your case at this point until they have the file from NVC.

London doesn't take phone calls. I think what you are missing is...you are done with USCIS and are being transitioned to the Dept of State. Your wait now is for USCIS to send it to them. The NVC will be assigning a new Dept Of State case number and mailing an NVC hardcopy giving that number to you. Your old USCIS case number doesn't work at the embassy. You can wait on the NVC hard copy or call, but your case needs to be received by London before you do any of the application forms.

This thread should be read and studied now to prepare for your London part of the process. It will guide you http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/
