Petition sent to NVC

Just curious, I received my hard copy of my NOA2 over 2 weeks ago. I have not received any emails nor has the USCIS case status page updated with saying that it was sent to the NVC. Do you normally get a notification when the petition is sent to the NVC?

Hi!

I was asking myself the same question yesterday and finally called the NVC yesterday. You won't get a case status update on the USCIS website that says your petition was sent unfortunately.

I called the NVC yesterday and asked them if they had a case number for me yet since I received my NOA2 two weeks ago as well. They just received it yesterday and there wasn't a case number assigned to it yet.

What the woman that I spoke with told me was that they don't do too much with I-129F Petitions once they come in, but enter them into the system and then ship them off to the designated Embassy. She did inform me that if you signed up for email alerts that you will be alerted when it is shipped to the Embassy. Whether this is true or not, I'm not sure, but what I'm going to do is call again tomorrow and see if there was a case number assigned yet that way I can go on the NVC case tracking website and at least track it myself.

Since your's was received around the same time as mine I'm going to guess that your's is probably getting there any day now if it isn't there already.
