People who are coming onto VJ saying that they were approved after 1 month are just doing that to get a rise out of other members and cause pain. None of that is true (unless they are expedited, which they are not.)

Hopefully you should hear soon. I see many members getting adjudicated in 6 months-ish. Yes, there were many here who waited 9, 10 months. I know it is difficult but hang in there. Keep bugging USCIS and the senators / congresspeople in your state. Hang in there.

Cases approved in a month or less without expedite can and do happen. They are not simply people lying here to 'get a rise' out of VJ members. It is very true.

I am not talking about people adjusting their statuses and filing concurrently with I-485s. I'm talking about standalone I-130 and I-129F petitions. While there might be very few cases, there seems to be a lot of people who create accounts just to come onto VJ and make these claims, leave, and never sign on again. I don't buy it.

I was stopped twice for a secondary inspection but was granted entry to the US on both occasions. Since we filed for our K1 visa I haven't traveled to the USA, so I'm not sure whether they'd let me in or not, seeing I have a visa pending. We've been apart for almost 10 months now and can't wait for this to be over so we can be reunited and start our lives together.

If it's of any help we're also in our early 20s and have no criminal background and our NOA2 took almost 6 months. We filed for an e-request after 5 months and 2 weeks (couldn't before that) and got a letter in the mail saying they were still working on our case. Shortly after that we got our NOA2 and it was such a huge relief to know that our case wasn't lost or denied.

It sucked to wait: everyone on here got their approvals in record time, some in 2 months and others in under a month and we just waited and waited, not knowing what took so long. I was really stressed out, usually I like knowing things in advance and planning things but it was impossible to predict anything in this situation. We still have no idea as to why our case took longer than most who filed with CSC around the time we did but you'll get your approval as well, I'm sure. Maybe you could try calling USCIS and ask about your case, it may or may not move things along or force them to make a decision soon - I mean they're going to get sick from receiving calls from you at some point!

Now we're waiting for my medical and interview and crossing our fingers for a positive outcome. You'll get there too, trust me. :) I know it's such a stressful thing to go through but if all goes fine just imagine how happy we'll be to be with our loved ones.

Keep us updated and best of luck to you both. If you need to vent you can PM me. :)

WOW! You truely understand too like some other people here what it means to wait that long! I'm thanking you so much for your supportive message.

I know fo y'all is going everything well too! It is ridiculous how they let us wait so long! And right now I saw a couple from CSC getting approved from NOA1 Date until NOA2 Date in 10 days!!

Can you imagine that?! I mean well sure THAT IS DAMN LUCKY but why then always these couples that wait even longer as their processing times?! I really don't understand all this... It gives me to think a lot and it doesn't let me feel welcome there, although I know how it would be in my country here if people would apply here for something like this... Sure you can't compare Germany to the US but I don't know, you know you are innocent and have never done ANYTHING bad in your life and then you get treated like you are a high professional criminal person... I think at some point it is enough. I love my Baby Buu he is the best that could happend in my life but this process is in my eyes not fair and the way some people get treated! I know for some people here it is truely fair and they can have their opinion about it, but mine is the opposite!

And I wish you and your fiance a smooth rest of the journey without big stones in your way! You will be together very soon :)

I have seen my fiancée a total of 4 weeks in alittle under 12 months. This process is extremely testing on a relationship and we have had our moments where we have come very very close it giving up on it all but in the end it will all be worth it. I can't imagine what it would be like with out my ipad skype and my phone apps Voxer and Viber!

Also some cases that are quick such as 10 days from NOA1 to NOA2 is because they are current or EX military as they get an automatic expedite in there cases.

NOA1 - APRIL 19th

RFE - SEPTEMBER 3rd

RFE REPLY - SEPTEMBER 11th

NOA2 - DECEMBER 20th 'approved'

NVC RECEIVED - JANUARY 9th

MEDICAL - JANUARY 24th

NVC LEFT - FEBRUARY 3rd

EMBASSY RECEIVED - FEBRUARY 7th

DS-160 and NOAR - FEBRUARY 7th

PACKET 4 - FEBRUARY 25th

INTERVIEW - MARCH 10th 'approved'

VISA ISSUED - MARCH 12th

VISA IN HAND - MARCH 17th

P.O.E (LAS VEGAS) - MARCH 18th

I was never speaking about AOS or I-130 petitions. This is the K-1 forum. The OP is posting about waiting for an I-129F petition approval. I was stating that I-129F petitions most certainly do get approved in less than a month. Are you saying that almost everyone here on VJ that claims their I-129F petition was approved in less than a month is lying? Ours was approved in 23 days, and it happened in the middle of a time when petitions were taking the typical 5+ months to approve. Approval times go up and down all the time. Recently there have been some very fast I-129F petition approvals happening. I doubt that most of them are lying here about it. It may very well slow down again soon.

Petitions are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. That just is not how the system works out. Maybe if only one service center was used and one person was adjudicating them all, then that could be a more feasible, albeit horrifyingly slower process. Is it fair that some have to wait longer than others? Probably not. It is unrealistic to go into this process thinking that no one will be approved before you though.

To me it seems like they randomly choose which ones they want to approve right away and which ones need more attention. I don't think it matters to them when you sent it but do try to get some kind of information about your case, if possible.
