Hi Guys,

Since I have not been successful in persuading a Tier 1 to open a service request for my case after several attempts, I was just wondering if opening an E-Request under 'Typographical Error' could be an option to check on my case status? As you all know the supplementary notice that we received from USCIS states that we could call the customer care number or create an E-Request if we do not get an update on our case within 60 days from transfer...

Has anyone opened an E-Request under the 'Typographical Error' category before and have you got a response from USCIS?

Could opening an E-Request under the 'Typographical Error' category affect my case in any way? Does any one have any bad experiences?

Any suggestions please? I am too pissed off to call them any more....

2013/04/30 : I-130 PETITION PRIORITY DATE (NOA1).
2013/05/02 : Received (NOA1) hardcopy by mail from National Benefits Center (NBC).
2013/12/04 : I-130 petition transferred from National Benefits Center (NBC) to Nebraska Service Center (NSC).
2014/02/12 : I-130 PETITION APPROVED (NOA2) at Nebraska Service Center (NSC).

Thats the reason I used. But the problem with an e-request is that it goes to the NBC because your number begins with MSC. It is better to use the : SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov

Give them all your information and explain the 60 days notice etc etc etc

Thank you for the information...... So it means that an e-request is just an eye wash then!!!

Ok will draft a good comprehensive email to the SCOPSSCATA ID and hope for a reply from them, that makes some sense.... Fingers crossed!!!
