Hi I am a long time reader and this is my first time posting.

I had an IR1 interview today (Feb 10th 2014) and recieved a 221G requesting two additional documents. A couple of questions:

1) They provided all my NVC originals back. Should I resubmit those as well?

2) Does anyone have any idea on timeframe for processing these 221G after document submission? I understand the target timeframe is 60 days but what is your experience in terms of actual time taken?

3) Can I schedule an appointment an expedite their processing that way?

Any input you may have greatly appreciated.

Which documents are they requesting? They should have got every document from NVC as per my understanding.

If I were you, I would only submit what they requested and nothing else to avoid any confusion at their end.

2013 W2 Tax filing for the petitioner (Which I am not sure why they are asking since our I-864 is principally based on assets) & New medical report (doctor messed up writing the medical report).

Everything went well however they gave me the 221g white letter asking me to submit a letter from the petitioner as why he did not work a.d file tax for the year 2012 & 2013. By 15 April I have submitted the documents to vfs bangalore document drop off location. Now im waiting for an update.

Hi. I am planning to do my medical at Apollo too in Chennai. I am getting little nervous now. May i ask what kind of error they made in your report and how did you realise there was an error in it, since from my understanding you are not suppose to open the med report. Thanks

Hi Elsy & Mark

The disclaimer I need to add before I say anything is that this is based on my very subjective experience.

The doctor @ Apollo Chennai did not ask me all the questions she was supposed to ask. She made assumptions and incorrectly market "No" to a question she should have answered "Yes" relating to my medical background. I was unable to tell there was an error in the report until the interview since the results were provided to me in a sealed envelope. As a result I needed to re-do my medical exam and resubmit to the consulate after the interview. I re-did my medical in Mumbai. In my subjective experience Apollo Chennai while an efficiently run hospital is lacking in basic respect and care for the patients undergoing these immigration medical screenings. I found the doctors in Mumbai a lot more respectful and diligent when completing the exam. That said, the facility in Mumbai is not as modern and efficient as Apollo Chennai.

Hi, I got my medicals done in rele clinic mumbai. They were very efficient and quick with their work. They finished all the tests in 50 mins. On request they gave me the sealed report and x ray report the same day so that I could get back to bangalore.

Thank you guys for your inputs.

I dont want to make two trips to Mumbai since i am not familiar with the place and i dont want to waste more money. So i might still go with Apollo at Chennai.

It would be first time for me travelling to Mumbai so can you guys suggest some good inexpensive hotels close to the consulate ? thanks.
