B&G και Άννα σας ευχαριστω πολυ!! U know exactly how difficult is for us as greeks to not marry a greek!!

As for u guys that u dont how is to be greek just watch "my fat greek wedding" movie!! And u ll understand lmfao.

Well they did reply us today and of course they deny it!!

Guys the reason im so stress is cause when i was with my fiance in the states and we went to the appointment with an immigration officer to ask what to do he told us to do the k1 visa and it takes 3-5 months aaaall the process. So we plan our life with that on our mind, and when my fiance got his citizenship after few months and we started doing process we found out the real time process . And that made me stress!!!

Is different to start something knowing that is going to take 8 months and different to know 3 or 5. And especially when u have to deal with soooo difficult situations on ur family!!!

Anyway!! Thank u so much for all the replies. U really help me!!

I ll try to chill a lil cause is not something i can control anyway! I must deal with it i want it or not!!!

Thank u all from the bottom of my heart!!

Honestly, there have been (and still are) so many of us who look at the 'average processing times' that say +-6 months for approval.

After 6 months many of those same people still haven't gotten approval, because 'average' doesn't mean 'maximum' waiting time.

There have been (and still are) so many of us who have to wait maybe 8 - 12 months before they actually have their visa in hands.

I understand that when you start with different expectations when it comes to the processing time it might stress you out a little bit, but like others have said.. you're only a few weeks in.

You haven't been waiting for 1 month yet and you're already extremely stressed out. Try to calm down for now and try to keep yourself busy during the processing time.

We all know it's hard, but try to think of the moment you will be together. It's a long, rocky, terrible road at times, but it is definitely worth the wait.

You're right that a lot of us aren't Greek, but that doesn't mean that - even though our culture/living circumstances might be different - we don't understand how you feel when it comes to this journey.

It's not easy to relax, but the best advise I can give you is really to try and keep busy. Whether that is with work, a hobby, friends, sports or something else. I know this process is something that is basically on your mind 24/7, but when you're busy with different things it does give you some distraction each day, which to me was very helpful to not drive myself crazy.

I wish you all the best of luck during your wait and try not to let this get the best of you.
