Hi Megan. I didn't send too much in the original packet. Our embassy isn't high fraud, so there wasn't too much need to "frontload." This is what I've compiled for the interview, however...

"Timeline of our ongoing relationship

(Table of Contents)

  1. First interaction, via Interpals.net—(date inserted here for all categories)
  2. First email interaction, via gmail.com –
  3. Relationship moves to instant messaging, via Google hangouts. –
  4. Became Facebook friends –
    1. Later added each other to our Google+ circles
    2. Subsequent family and friends of each were added beginning in --.
  5. Began using “Whatsapp” (phone app) to text each other –
  6. Later added “Viber” and Skype for texting and talking (audio)
  7. First audio call via regular phone –
  8. First Skype call (video) –
  9. First card arrived via US Mail –
  10. First visit to meet in person –
  11. K1 visa petition sent to USCIS --
  12. K1 visa petition NOA1—
  13. Second in-person visit –
  14. Third in-person visit --"

Each section is tabbed, and there is a paragraph explaining the process of how we got to that point, plus screenshots, or excerpts, or copies of pics, envelopes for postmarks, etc. It was grueling work, and took about 3 weeks to gather it all. Now when he takes it back with him, he'll add some small samples from when we aren't together the next couple months. (at least I hope he will. lol)

Explanation paragraph looks something like this:

  1. I “friend requested” Johan on Facebook after he gave me his email address.

Before doing so, I had looked around his page, and saw pictures of him, his son, other family, and friends. When I made a comment on a public photo on a friend’s page, that friend sent me a friend request. Since Johan and I have become Facebook friends, we have acquired 7 mutual friends (so far) who are my friends and family and his friends and family.

Enclosed are screen shots of some of our photos, tags, posts on our walls."

Now that I've spent days putting all this together, they probably won't even look at it. I plan on giving an extensive review of the embassy process, since the Ireland info seems to be outdated.

Ahh, what a relief to see someone who is just as OCD as I am LOL. I bet that took FOREVER and you're right, they probably won't even look at it. The closer we get to the interview, the more nervous I am getting. It is so scary that we can get all the way to that point, spend all that money, time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears and they can give is a 221g or deny us. I am most worried about income and the I-134. I am just barely over the 125% poverty level for a household of 3. I would have no issues providing for him though. Everything is pretty cheap in Indiana :) This K-1 process seems cake compared to AOS though. Ugh, I guess I am just having one of those worry about everything days.

 About this I am! But usually I'm pretty laid back. But it's for the reasons you listed. We can get all through the process and still be denied. ?!?! I shudder to think about couples from high fraud countries. :(

Ooh! Another question - my fiance is unlikely to be able to prove she can support me financially (I'm the beneficiary - and due to a change in job recently, her recent tax stubs will technically fall below the threshold), but her father absolutely is able and willing to support me. Would she still complete an I-134, or would only her Dad need to do it?

I think they both need to do it.

This is utterly wonderufl! Thank you so much.

Cambodia is definitely considered a "high fraud" country, so I am definitely front loading our application. This list is SO inspiring and helpful!!!

Our initial packet was over three inches thick and weighed over three and a half pounds. I was pretty proud of it, but I know the steps only get harder from here, so I'm not going to get too comfortable. :)

I shall consult this list further once we know more. goodness, waiting for that darn NOA2 is terrible. But the long-sought end product of my sweetheart being on the same continent as me will be exponentially more wonderful than this has been difficult. :)

Thanks again for your help!!!! Blessings to you and your journey!!!

you're welcome. :)

On another note: my NOA2 hard copy came in the mail today. So much more official-looking than the NOA1! And it only took 3 business days to get to me (of course, I'm only a few hours up the road from the USCIS in Cal). I wasn't expecting it to arrive so soon. I guess they conditioned me to WAIT! lol Happy Friday, all.

Hello Visa Journey Folks!

I've been reading from the background for a while now, but was inspired to post since I'm on the same journey as many of you. I'm waiting for my NoA2 and getting pretty impatient. My timeline is as follows:

2/4/14 - Sent I129-F

2/11/14 - Received NoA1

2/13/14 - Alien Registration number changed

It's been in the "initial processing" case status for almost two months now. I know that not too long, but starting to get impatient as I feel I've been reading most early February filers are approved. Anyone else an early Feb Filer still not approved? My fiance is in the Philippines which I know is a "high alert" country, so i'm wondering if they are looking very carefully at my case.

I'm only a few days off being 2 months since NOA1...if you check igor's list there are quite a few filers from early and mid feb still waiting for NOA2s. Feb approvals seem to be abit scrambled but we will all get there very soon! ? NOTE: I'm not always this positive with all this waiting...tends to come in waves of pure frustration! ?

Thanks for the support! :) Yea I definitely feel the waves... usually I'm positive at the beginning of each day, and tend to get more and more frustrated as the day comes to an end and no NoA2 approval.

I guess the best option is to try and not think about it as much as possible.
