I don't know if it's someone up high teaching me a lesson for my last post, but my fiancé just arrived home to a letter from the department of state stating that NVC had received my case and was forwarding it to the American embassy in London! It's dated march 26th! I'm slightly confused though because it hasn't updated online (I thought the case status changes online?) and/or I didn't get any notification... It's like my case has skipped two steps ahead...

Hopefully this means that everyone else's cases are going to start moving!

OMG! This makes me so happy! Congrats to you!! I have been waiting for you to get your NOA2 because you were on the top of the Feb filers on Igors list haha! Now you can call and get your case number!! WOOHOO

Yay! I'm so so so happy for you! What an amazing unexpected surprise for the two of you :)

(We had the same thing happen to us the first time we filed in 2010, so I think they just forget to update the case status online every now and then :) )

Thank you, I'm so happy! Did you receive anything else between the NOA1 and a letter from the DOS saying that your case has been from NVC? Immediately I assumed the worst and thought that this is all an April fools joke!

From what I can remember, we got out letter from NVC and our NOA2 almost the same day and it totally caught us by surprise. So what I would assume about your case is that CSC might have forwarded your case super quickly and NVC forwarded it to your embassy almost immediately. CSC might not have sent out your NOA2 right away and you will get your NOA2 sometime this week.

That would be a pretty mean April fools joke though! haha

I wouldn't worry about there being anything wrong with your case though if I were you :)

Thank you for your help! It just really caught me off guard! I double checked the case number and my case is in London so I can book my medical ect, I've never been so excited to be stabbed by needles!

This just means everyone else's cases are on the roll, which I'm so happy about!

Wow, that's crazy! And you're only about 2 weeks ahead of us in the queue (we got NOA1 on Feb 19th) ... So just to make things clear - the London embassy has *already* received your case from NVC? If so, that means whoever is the beneficiary should be getting instructions in the post anytime soon! :)

If you're only 2 weeks ahead of us ... that makes me crazy excited about where we could be come mid-April. Thing is, we've kind of been thinking in terms of a move in July (based on my educated guess of a time-frame) - will we even have enough time to do everything we need to do if it turns out I can move a month earlier? AHHHH

!!

So let's work this out. If you had your medical booked in 2 weeks - you would then get an interview about a month after that - and then it's about 2 weeks to get your visa in the post. In 8 weeks you could probably fly out and move (if I've done my maths right?) :D

OMG OMG OMG!!!

I just got the following email a few minutes ago:

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On March 31, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

How crazy is that?! We were just getting all excited about Sailor's approval!

This feels surreal! I'm so happy! :)
