Interview was today in New Delhi. They would not accept skype logs and phone records as proof of relationship. We were denied visa until more documentation is provided. They are asking for signed letters from each of our parents about our engagement (I am 35) also various repeated docs from the I129f. Sad day for us. From reading other's experiences it sounds like New Delhi typically sits on these 3+ months before changing status.

We filed Jake's AOS and EAD paperwork at the end of July. His biometrics appointment is this upcoming Tuesday--you can risk doing a walk-in earlier, but Indy is over an hour away and it was only a few days away from when we got our letter, so we figured we'd just wait for our appointment! From the looks of other July 2014 AOS filers, after biometrics it's only a week or so before your case is updated to "interview/testing," which is then scheduled. From the looks of it, a lot of people have only waited a few months (2-3) to get both EAD and their greencards, so that's very exciting.

It's also amazing how much calmer we are in this second round of dealing with the USCIS. When the person you love is home with you, the wait just doesn't matter as much anymore--although he is getting antsy about not being able to work. Poor thing <3

Good luck all, break a leg!

Approved at Interview!!! :goofy::D

I am the USC, and I just about threw up sitting here waiting while he was in there; so much nerves.

But he did great and was only in there 30 minutes.

Can't believe he is going to be here soon.

hey all,

im having a little trouble getting my SSN.

For those of you who filed BEFORE marriage, what documents did you provide? and what did you put for Q.5 CITIZENSHIP 'Legal Alien Allowed To Work' or Legal Alien Not Allowed to Work'?

For those that filed AFTER getting married, what documents did you take in? what did you put for Q5? and did you put your new surname on or kept it the same?

Johan took literally no documents but his passport. Everything they need to see is in the system. For question 5, it was "legal alien allowed to work." When his card arrived a week later (5 working days), it had something along the lines of "cannot work without authorization" or something like that, written on it. He will still need his EAD card. But it was very easy. It was the day we got married, but we didn't have proof of that at the time.
