I'm hoping to get my certificate, but the job market here is terrible.

I know that's true! I worked in Swartz Creek for 4 years. I knew many many teachers who weren't full time, but were subbing. I would like to think it's improved in 5 years, but I doubt it.

invitations arrived today. The South African ones will be posted tomorrow! I got a text from my future sister in law telling me that she was told they need the invitation to take to the embassy for their tourist visa interviews. According to people on here, that ain't so, but I'm not chancing it. " just got real, part 2."

Abby: we know way better than your family. I am tempted to send you my cell number so you can tell me immediately! lol Happy Tuesday, everyone. One day closer.

I hate surprises too, but he's wanted to do this the past few times and I said no but this is our last chance really! Haha I wanted to go meet him at the airport and have that moment of him walking through customs the last time.. but I'll go along with his plan for now He booked his ticket today and still won't make a peep about it!! Time to clean and make sure everything is order for the next few weeks!! So excited!!

Clearly I will do this LOL You guys understand how exciting it will be and my family will be like uhh ok...you mean you're not done yet? haha.

Another awesome! I love skyping. Its sort of the closest we can get to being together. Although I would kill Andre if he did that just showing up thing to me! Thats just the kind of thing he would try to do. I hate surprises though!

speaking of going through customs... I decided to take a trip with my daughter the week before Johan and his son arrive in LA. (I agree; I can't afford it right now!) Our planes land 4 minutes apart at the same terminal at LAX. How cool is that?! So I will get to go through customs with my love, even though we are arriving on different planes.

Hi everyone,

I am a February filer, we received our NOA 1 on February 6th. I am having a hard time understanding why we haven't heard anything. I called them on Tuesday and they said they were processing from December 3rd. Does the fact that we're filing from India have anything to do with the wait? Are people on here just getting lucky or something? I'm losing my mind! I thought they processed in order of receiving them but that can't be true from the approvals on this site.

Also, how often should I call them now that we're past the 5 month estimate? and what's an acceptable time to file a congressional?

From reading other threads from people at TSC, service requests cannot be put in until 6 months now (which I think is RIDICULOUS!) Also, it may look like people are being approved that sent their petitions in after you, but a lot of people are mistaking TSC with the Dallas Lockbox and a majority of those people, I would say, were actually sent to CSC. I think now would be an acceptable time for a congressional inquiry. Your country has nothing to do with it! I would definitely start contacting my Congressman and Senators! There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason as to the order they approve petitions. There is a February TSC thread floating around here somewhere that could be informative for you!

Thank you very much! It's helpful to have some encouragement. I just got back from India and I was hoping to have good news while I was there with my fiancé. It's easy to get frustrated with this process. I just wrote my congresswoman, so hopefully that does something. Patience, patience. I'm terrible at this!
