file application to replace a document with a spelling error?

Looking on the USCIS web site I found this.

"If you find an error in the information on the last notice we sent you."

(which I did, because of my address being spelled incorrectly on the NOA1. I called them up and we corrected it, they sent me a letter saying that I updated my address, which i didn't, I only made a spelling correction.)

Then this information follows the last bit on the USCIS website.

"If you find an error on a document we issued, you will have to file an application to replace it, and you will have to return the document when you apply. If the error was caused by USCIS and you can prove it, you may be able to file an application without a fee."

Does this mean that way back in October, when I received the letter telling me they corrected my address, (which was not exactaly the situation) that I still need to file an application to replace my NOA1 with one that has the address spelled correctly? Must I do this now so they can continue working on my petition, or does this not apply to this type of document, in my case being the NOA1.

Thanks all!

alex

I think a spelling error in address is immaterial and you should not worry about it. If it was your name being misspelled I would act on it but a spelling error in address is not significant in my opinion. Don't worry about it. Good Luck
