Darn they are taking their time in Detroit. Have you called them yet to make sure nothing got lost or is this normal for that office?

No one knows "anything" until 90 days. One other Detroit filer was scheduled the end of May, but nothing since and in the last few months there appear to be no visa journeyers going to Detroit. We will just wait.

Me too. :( i wonder if it has something to do with our geographical location? i live in southwest michigan, as well (20 minutes west of bc).

Who knows? Immigration seems to be so non-linear and each person's path is not necessarily mean the same thing will happen for another person. Wish it was a first in, first out process.

My wife and I had our interview at 1015 hrs this morning at Dallas office. My wife went in first and came out with the oath letter for Tuesday which was good thing for me. I could mention this to my IO and have the oath same day if I pass it.

Any way the IO called my name around 1030hrs and after oath she started with writing and reading. She then moved to civics and here are the questions:

1. How many senators we have?

2. When was deceleration of ind written

3. What is rule of law

4. What Ocean in east coast

5. What 13 stripes represent

6. What's the name of national anthem

She then moved to application and although I had 714 days outside US due to my job she never even went over that.

This was one of the best interviews I ever had. She was such a nice lady and we even talked about other things.

She then handed me the approval notice and gave me oath letter for Tuesday. Wow what a relief I was really worried about my travels but more importantly I might have to wait for oath. My short journey is over.

  • On L-1B visa for about 1.5 years before getting my F1 visa.

Hi Guys, so yesterday I got the imfamous yellow letter and I have a question for anyone who answered yes on the n400 app about being cited or fined. I was fined twice 10 years ago, one for an open container{drinking a beer on my stoop}$25 and for using the my brother's metrocard to board the train $50. The letter state that I should present the original certified copies stating how each incident was resolved, do I have to go hunting down or get a statement from NYC Transit saying that I paid the fines, or is it one of those things I can disregard. Any help is appreciated.

Today marks 3 weeks since my wife's interview in New Orleans. Hope to hear something this week. Still stuck in "interview and testing". After her interview she was told it would be 2 to 3 weeks to hear something back from USCIS, and she was hoping for a July 4th Oath Ceremony, but looks like that is not going to happen. Now I would be happy for anytime in July. She doesn't have any immediate travel plans, but the waiting is crazy!

NATURALIZATION

Progress...sort of... ;-) well, we got a yellow letter. Which I guess is progress since it means someone was looking at our file! It just said to bring state-issued id. We only have an expired one, guess we should get it renewed ASAP! Hopefully an interview will be scheduled soon...

I received a yellow letter dated June 5th also (what is the date on your letter?). It actually says "prior to forwarding your case for interview", which I believe means it is now transferred to field office. The thing is my online status did not change to "inline" until there was exactly 1 month to my anniversary (6 weeks after fingerprints). I hope this means we both will have our interviews scheduled this or next week :)
