They should only need the tax transcripts, proof of LPR or US Citizenship, and then proof of current income.

Montreal was just under $300. It has to be cash only. Every place is differnet for what they charge but in Canada it's not normally more the $300 for the medical itself. Vaccines would add to the cost of course.

Hi Saylin,

I hope you can help enlighten me. Do my Co-sponsors need to submit there W-2's,1099's,scheduels with their I864 and I864a? We ordered and received mine and their joint tax transcripts from the irs last week. Is it still necessary to submit all these documents. I thought that was the purpose of the transcripts. since my brother and his wife make well over the guidelines, I thought all they needed was an employer letter and a months worth of current pay stubs. My Brother has been self employed for the past 10 years but as of the 1st of Jan, he has got a real job! and my sister-in law has been with the same company for 15 years. Do we need to separate their incomes also? I paid the AOS fee, it showed paid and printed the barcode sheet tonight, hope to mail off,all are I-864's in the packet next week. Just pray we can avoid any RFE'S.

Thanks Saylin, I know me any many more appreciated your knowledge and guidance, I for one would still be lost in the visa maze!

Please add us also to the spreadsheet.

Since you don't have a signature, what date was your case number assigned?

And joint sponsors, as with the petitioner, need to provide tax information. Either the most recent year or the three past years. Tax transcripts are much preferred over ENTIRE tax returns. Please review posts 1 and 2.

How much does the medical cost? (For in montreal or general ballpark ).

It varies by panel physician, but it's probably $200-$300. I paid about $230 IIRC.

We review and reply to e-mails in the order they are received.

I will keep you updated once I got response from NVC.

Yes, if your interview is after the tax deadline on April 14th, then 2013 tax information will be required from the petitioner and all joint sponsors (if it wasn't already included at NVC).

How long does it take to generate 2013 tax transcripts? I mean, if my joint sponsored hasn't filed their taxes yet. I would assume it takes time for these tax transcripts to actually be generated in the IRS system.

Hello,
I had I130 approved jan30 and waiting for NVC case number. Thank you Saylin for the great topic, it is very helpful for me.

I started a topic about 864EZ problem, but it was moved to an inappropriate forum and i think i wont get an answer there. Anyway.
The problematic part is Citizenship/Residency of the 864EZ form, when i click the field "I am a U.S. citizen" i get a message for zero value
etc etc, and when im saving the form this part for USC really goes to zero value-not filled, im attaching the screenshot.
Someone had this problem? What is the solution?
Im sure i do everything right, revised many times, but obviously there is an error. Suggestions? help, please.

How long does it take to generate 2013 tax transcripts? I mean, if my joint sponsored hasn't filed their taxes yet. I would assume it takes time for these tax transcripts to actually be generated in the IRS system.

Here is what I found:

IRS Tax Transcript Frequently Asked Questions

Recent guidance from the Department of Education and the IRS suggests that if you file your 2013 taxes electronically and have any owed taxes paid in full at the time of submission or are due a refund - IRS Tax Return Transcripts will be available generally 2 - 4 weeks after your return has been processed.

If you filed electronically, but do not pay in full any taxes due - your tax return will not be processed until May 2014 and may request your IRS Tax Return Transcript 2 - 3 weeks after that point.

Those that file a paper return will unfortunately need to wait even longer to make the request for their tax return transcript. If you expect a refund or owe no additional taxes, you can request your transcript 8 - 11 weeks after your tax return has been submitted and received. If you owe any amount, even if it is paid in full at the time your return is submitted, your tax return will not be processed until June 2014 and you will not be able to request your transcript until 2 - 3 weeks after that point.

Thanks!!!

I just noticed that the passport stamp from Guam is the same as US mainland ones, saying US Homeland Security.

It makes sense!

(I asked because Guam has a different policy for visa waiver, if I remember correctly)

Hi everyone, I have just put my IV package and AOS package together. Can I check if I am missing anything?

Also I was thinking of putting the two IV packages in two envelopes and sending together in one envelope and the same for the AOS package, do you think this would be ok?

Also I put two payslips and employment letter in the package for me and since my husband only started work in January I only have the two payslips for him so I had to copy them for my daughters AOS package. Do you think that will be ok? Same for employment letter.

OK so in my IV package:

Bar coded Cover Sheet

Original police cert(and copy)

Original birth cert (beneficiary) and copy

Copy of biographic passport page

2 passport pics

Marriage cert(and copy)

My daughters IV package

Bar coded Cover Sheet

Original birth cert (beneficiary) and copy

Copy of biographic passport page

Marriage cert(and copy)

Thanks everyone!

Question: is your daughter married? If not, I don't believe your marriage certificate is required for her IV package per the NVC instructions.

I guess you need to update your adobe to latest version, try and see if that helps. It is not issue of 864ez, looks like software issue.
