I would put your address. Especially if that's where you both are going to live when he comes. I'm pretty sure that's where they will send the green card. I believe that's where they think he will live. Your going to want the address where he is going to live on his green card. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

AOS forms all set in!

Now to wait again 8)... Actually after the hectic ness that was yesterday making sure the AOS was OK, I don't mind lol. So how do you I know if the AOS is ok? I know it'll take them a while to receive and process it.

Call up and ask!! If you don't want to call everyday, call 1-3 times a week until 2-3 weeks have passed. Then you may want to start calling everyday after that since it's typically around 15-20 business days for them to review packages.

Not sure, you'll just have to wait and see. If you don't get a checklist, make sure you mention this at the interview, so it can get corrected.

Doesn't matter which you answer (neither answer will get your visa application denied). Just answer what's applicable for your case. If you don't currently have vaccines and/or proof, then write 'no'. Most people who say no just explain that they'll get it all done at the medical. I answered yes since in my case I did already have all the vaccines and a vaccination record to prove it.

As you've read, as long as you give over both email addresses to an operator, then all correspondence is sent by email, so the DS-261 is a moot form. Just put your US address, it's better, just in case NVC does mail anything.

The consulate doesn't mail you anything by the way. The last piece of correspondence you're going to receive is the interview letter from NVC.

The address on the DS-261 doesn't pertain to where the green card will be sent. That address is on the DS-260 and specifically states in the question that that will be the address used to mail the green card.

Are you referring to the "checklist" on post 2? If so, yes, since this thread is geared for IR-1/CR-1 visas, it's more for a spousal application. But most everything can still be applicable to derivative visas. Ok thanks that's good to know. So you're saying that by checking the 'no' box and explaining that you are going to get the required vaccinations at the medical won't have any delay in our case compared to saying 'yes' and won't raise any flags at NVC? If I understand this correctly the DS-260 is scrutinised by the officer at the embassy rather than those at NVC? Unless there is some huge problem of course...

Honestly, I'm not sure why they even have this question, as most people are not from countries where these vaccines are routinely given, thus most people won't have the vaccines and/or record to show it. But, anyways, it's on the form

The forms are looked over by both officers at NVC and at the consulate/embassy. NVC just makes sure you meet all the requirements on paper, but it's the CO at the consulate/embassy that decides whether to grant the visa, taking in the forms that were submitted, plus whether they think the relationship is true.

Right, but am I right in thinking that if you were to put 'no' and in the explanation box 'because I'm scared of needles" then you'll still be iinvited for an interview but obviously refused? I'm not scared of needles by the way! Just hyperthetical! Ha

Also, having looked at some historic examples on here it seems that around half of people in my situation put 'yes' as they know they would be covered by the time of the interview. Do you reckon putting 'yes' in this instance potentially get you in trouble as you wouldn't have the required documents at the time of submitting the form or is this acceptable?

Hi saylin ,,,, I won't to ask you question about my friend , he's live in Jerusalem and he's submit all paper to NVC with his address (Jerusalem) but , the NVC schedule his interview on March 3th in India (Mumbai)!!!! What can we do about this mistake????
