Wow! Congrats! We were recieved on the same day from the same service center but I just called and no case # for me. . I was hoping today would be my day. Maybe later..........

Update of the situation at NVC(after my husband called them yesterday):

- USCIS said they sent the process to NVC on the 13th of January;

-NVC said they had got the process on the 21st of January, but haven't enter it to the system yet, so no case number or IIN.

Question: Should we call them everyday?

you can call everyday if you want but for me,i usually read threads here and when i saw someone getting their numbers near our dates, thats when i call.

And we were told about 10-20 business days for case #.

under what situation you applied your expedite request at the NVC.?

It was only a letter explaining a family hardship.

Does anyone know what happens when an expedite is grated through NVC? They approved mine to expedite and when I called they said it will be forwarded to the embassy abroad.

Omg just called NVC. my case is complete as of yesterday. I will call again later and tmrw to confirm again. andi have to wait for official letter and interview date. Thank u guys. and Thank u God!!

My case was received at NVC on Jan 21 as well. I'm calling them daily, but based on other members' timelines, I'm not really expecting any good news for another week or two. Still, they say 10-20 business days, and we're now at the 10 business day mark, so they'll be hearing from me regularly

Sorry if this question has been asked before, but I didn't see it anywhere so here it is..

Got my W7 all filled out to get ITIN sending it to my hubby to send in with his 2013 tax return. When his return is filed can we send a copy of his return with w2 and 1099 for the AOS or does it HAVE to be a tax transcript? I'm asking because it's going to take 6-8 weeks to get ITIN and taxes done so we can get tax transcript. Don't want to have to wait that long. Thanks.

I'm not sure what happens in Jordan, but in Montreal;

everything is sent to the Consulate and you skip over NVC all together. You will get an appointment, and you take all your paperwork and pay your fees on the day of your interview.

I called everyday from the 5th business day on. It got to the point I knew who I was talking to before they said their name. We didn't get our case number until the 20th business day though...

Yeah, taking the full 20 days seems entirely standard. For us that's the 17th, which is a holiday But even with zero expectation of anything happening before then I don't mind calling every day. It's really a much nicer experience than calling USCIS, and it takes very little time out of my day to get that peace of mind.

Agreed! It's that one little thing that makes you feel like you have some kind of control over the situation, instead of sitting around and waiting.
