Are you having your medical at Knightsbridge Doctors in London. Word of warning... I booked my medical for a couple of weeks ago as soon as I had my case number back at the end of Jan. I was all set to go and then I suddenly thought "where are my medical results going to go if my file is still at NVC and has not arrived at London yet?". I called Knightsbridge 4 days before my appointment with this query and the lady on the phone said they have been advised by the embassy not to examine applicants who are still at NVC. She said this can cause problems because when the embassy receives your results they does not have a file to match them up with.

I just thought I would let you know in case you were thinking of having the medical before the case is complete at NVC and with London. I had no idea and was lucky I had that realisation. I think the system is slightly flawed as there is no way of stopping you from booking an appointment before case is complete at NVC. You would think they would ask at the time of booking the appointment whether the case is complete at NVC.

Tim

No I thought we would be at London, but their interview is going to be at Dublin embassy, so they will actually have their medical in Dublin. It will at least save them on a plane ticket from Belfast to London x 2. I have no idea now when they should be doing their medical and am currently researching the Dublin embassy. I think they have to wait until their case is complete?

Print out the docs requirement list from the NVC website and explain them that you need to send one to the NVC. ALso take your NOA2 and try your luck reasoning with them.

My wife went with the DS-261 confirmation and explained to them that PCC is required to be submitted to NVC as part of the IV application. They agreed and told her that there will first be a police inquiry and then she will have to go back to the get the actual PCC.

This is for the Ahmedabad office.

Guys,

When there's an attorney, no DS-261 comes up right ?

In that sub-scenario, when are the AOS and IV bills invoiced after the case number is available ?

Oh ok, have you double checked with NVC that that's correct? I don't want to worry you but I have seen two different examples on British Expats where NVC officers have mistaken Northen Ireland as being part of Rep. Ireland and not the UK and given out DBL case numbers instead of LND. Both had to get new case numbers assigned. It's probably the case that you have checked with them or arranged it yourself but thought I would let you know this just in case. That's assuming the applicants are in Northen Ireland and not Rep. Ireland of course.

Got mine 8 biz days after case number was available. It didn't let me pay both at the same time. I ended up paying AOS first, wait a couple of days then paid the IV.

It means then don't have ny problem issuing pcc before interview letter at ahmedabad office. I m planning to go to PSK wid my NOA2 n snapshot of AOS fees payment portal. Is dat k?

Do you have an attorney ?

Did your attorney fill out the DS-261 ?

Or there was NONE to fill out (because he was automatically on there)

Hey Bellez,

We are almost on same pace. I just paid my AOS tonite.

Ours will probably take longer though. My wife is a Filipina who has been in Canada for 7 years as a PR. She is getting her Canadian Citizenship in 2 weeks and her Philippines passport will expire. So we have to wait another month for her Canadian passport to be issued after her oath ceremony. The IV document package states that a valid passport for at least 6 months must be submitted. and she said renewing her Philippines passport which expires March 22 would be too much hassle to renew as she is in middle of Saskatchewan. I think she is tired of the Philippines consulate in Canada. As if this process wasnt convoluted enough. Anyways good luck I guess the next step is to wait for the AOS to be shown as paid so we can electronic process the AOS.

All the best

boarder

It would be fine to add couple weeks in the process as long as you got all the required requested as part of the process. Be sorry if there's no way to complete it.

Hmmm, something bothering in my mind to that situation you have shared. Why she didn't renew her PI passport ahead of time like couple months? I think the closest PI Consulate for her is in Toronto. She doesn't have to book for appointment, can come anytime from 9am-4pm, processing time is 6 weeks - 8 weeks but you can request to expedite.

I am not a Canadian, I am a Filipino, on PR for couple years too. I was about to apply but we decided ( my husband and I ) not to apply for Canadian citizenship because of the long wait process, also I will be giving it up in the future if I am eligible to apply for Naturalization in the US.So, we don't see any point to pursue it Now.

In my point of view, we are only allowed to hold dual citizenship as Filipinos.

My husband is a US citizen and my daughter as well.Though, our daughter is a Canadian - American. But, as I said, we don't see any point to pursue it at present.

My Journey:

March 29, 2013 :PD Dec-20, 2013 USCIS approval date July 28. 2015 (F) (F) (F)Interview Date APPROVED.

Oh hell that thought is exactly what is lingering in my mind right now.... Can you find those examples by any chance? I did mention it to the officer that I spoke to but I'm not at ease so I am calling back. They live in Northern Ireland near Belfast so it is definitely not the republic.... eff. rolleyes.gif
