Yes, it should clear within a few business days (maybe longer right now due to the backlog), and then the AOS should be invoiced.

Having an attorney attached to the case will actually make your case a tiny bit faster as the IV bill will be invoiced at the same time as the AOS (since the attorney is automatically selected as agent, thus no need for the DS-261, thus shaving off about 2 weeks).

Our case finally arrived at the NVC office after NOA2 on Feb 1. Saylin could you please update this in the sheet? PS we were transferred to the Texas office (now it says NBC).

I sent an original divorce decree with my I 130 application (i know i should have sent a photocopy), and now I am being asked to send another original divorce decree to NVC. I have another original that I can send, but I am worried because I read on the Rio de Janeiro website that I will be required to bring yet another original to the interview even if already submitted....I would just get another original....but the divorce was in Spain and it is very complicated to get another one. Can I just ask NVC to look at the original document?

Updated! And I took NBC from your timeline. I'm not psychic I have no idea where people's cases get transferred to if they don't mention it in their timeline or signature.

too many petitions getting sent or are they slow

Can some of the Indian VJ members who have submitted the IV package to NVC advise me whether it is a good idea to send the original Birth Certificate of the beneficiary to NVC? It is mighty hard to get another 'original' birth certificate from the corporation in Kolkata in case the original sent to NVC is lost.

Can we send a copy attested by a Gazetted Officer or Notary Public in India and carry the original Birth Certificate to the interview?

You can send the certified copy.

You are right. as for india you can get the "true copy" from the issuing authority its not as hard as getting original.

Exactly. Only from issuing agency or authority can get those copies.

IV is not generated yet.

Anyone please help regarding our case NVC case number. I was born in the Philippines but I am a Thai citizen. And in

all my documents it says that I am a thai citizen and my address. But the NVC gave me a number that will be sent in the Philippines but I am here in Thailand. What should we do? Thanks in advance for your reply. And it took 27 business day before we got our case number.
